The room was very clean, a great bed, and the Inn was well-maintained. We were very comfortable. There was a gas fire pit that was nice to sit around at night. Breakfast was standard continental breakfast.
JUST GO: to the Glen Cove Inn The Glen Cove Inn is the sort of destination you’ve always been looking for but never could find. It is very close to the sights in Camden, Rockport and Rockland, without the bustle or higher prices centered in those towns. We had four glorious nights in room 10 right next to the pool, which was completely quiet in spite of those noise words usually associated with “pool”. Our room had a big king bed with luxurious bedding, an intimate well-lit comfortable sitting area, a great AC, a little frig, a nice bath and parking right outside our room. Everything was level and WONDERFUL for those who have “climbing step challenges”! The landscaping (roses, dogwoods, even wisteria) was breathtaking. There is a firepit for cooler evenings, or just the delight of sitting around something warm and welcoming in any season! There is a washer dryer designated for guests, and a trail perfect for those who have no ambulatory issues! Breakfasts daily are muffins, fruits and yogurt, DEVINE waffles, protein in peeled chilled hard- boiled eggs, and Maine blueberries GALORE! The host owners are sophisticated, low key and MARVELOUS: the kind of people you delight in meeting, knowing, and appreciating. Their own innate rhythm like a soft breeze off an inland lake seems to set the tone for guests who need their offering of rest! Laura, Rich, Andrew and Quinn set the tempo, and it was lovely and healing keeping it there! Conversations at the outside breakfast area are hearty with guests and owners mingling with common respect and gratitude just to be able to be together again after the long Covid lockdown. Guests are from everywhere, but our Southern accents were not disrespected or questioned in the least! Honestly, THIS IS the place if you need rest and rejuvenation. The nearby restaurants, Archers on the Pier, Waterfront in Camden, Ports of Italy and Claws for a very casual “hang out here” meal are easy drives and all in all great foods. I will say we went twice to Archers and I am still moaning over the scallops (ordered repeatedly!). We even went on Sunday to West Rockport Baptist Church for an incredible time of worship and fellowship. I am not quite sure if the Glen Cove Inn CHOSE all the neighboring restaurants and destinations for surrounding “color”, but please know Glen Cove is a colorful mountain top of its own. If you do nothing more than “park” there, you will be renewed!!! When choreographed and well planned moments of quiet blend with moments of tastes, people and deep rest it becomes a place to recommend and share! And I do! Just GO!…
One of my favorite places to stay in Maine. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is great…the waffles perfection!! I only wish you could get fresh towels and a quick bed making without asking each day. After all we were on vacation!🙂
I loved staying at the Glen Cove Inn! I live in Maine and love the area in mid coast Maine! I loved that they are pet friendly! The breakfast out side on the porch was friendly and delicious! I only stayed one night , but it was perfect! Very Maine! Very clean! And very friendly! Will do this again!🐾😍👏😍
Very nice country style inn with a great location. Our room was spacious and clean, the hotel grounds were kept clean and the landscaping was beautiful. Breakfast on the deck each morning with coffee was a nice start to each day. There also is a walking trail next to the property that takes you down to a secluded beach. Wonderful place that we would visit again.
This was our third stay at Glen Cove Inn. We were delighted to find that it was even better than our previous two very enjoyable visits over the past several years. Their breakfast even supplies REAL maple syrup for the waffles, and a wide variety or fruits, pastries, and delicious yogurt parfaits. We'll be back again ASAP!
We’ve stayed twice in the last 2 years, really nice people, rooms are clean and neat. Totally enjoyed the pool area and theres a wonderful trail to walk beside and behind the property with a beautiful view of the water and if you’re daring you can even take a plunge.
Had a great two night stay here this weekend. Staff is wonderful, the property well cared for, great accomodations and a great breakfast. Very much like a bed and breakfast experience. The room was spacious and very clean, had our own private back porch which was lovely. Breakfast was well done with fruit and baked goods and waffles and Green mountain coffee, my favorite! Front desk staff member Quinn made some great restaurant recommendations for us and was super friendly. Highly recommend this spot if you are traveling in the area.
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Glen Cove. We stayed in the Family suite which would be perfect with a couple of younger children. The beds were comfy; the grounds were lovely; the staff was very attentive; breakfast was great and there was a very nice trail nearby that led us through the woods and down to the water. It was also a good value.
We stayed two nights at Glen Cove during a week long trip in Maine (going from Kittery to Bar Harbor). We were in Room 10 (right next to the pool) and really enjoyed our room for those two nights. We had a king bed, plenty of space in the room, and liked that it was near the end of the property, so we heard no road noise from Commerical St that other reviewers have mentioned. We were a little leery when they told us we would be right next to the pool, but during the nights we were there, there were never more than 2 or 3 people at the pool (no kids), and everyone was quiet and respectful. I liked being able to park right in front of the unit, and I also liked having tasty breakfast out on the patio in the mornings. We'd definitely come back for another stay!
