I have to say it's a pretty park and shady. But our problems started the minute we walked in and was from the Maintenence guy/self appointed show-runner. The poor young lady at the desk pretty much ignored him (smart girl). We had reservations and he immediately looked at our A class with tow and said "you are too big. There's nothing here". Looked at the girl and said "don't you ask their length?" She checked us in. We had a great spot...plenty long and nice. The next morning I look at their "IMPORTANT INFO" again and note trash pickup at 9:00 am. We set ours out as did 2 neighboring RVs. At 11:30 the "maintenance man" (he told us that is his job) came by and told us. "You have to take your own garbage to dump. You can't leave it there. We don't pick up garbage". I picked mine up, all my neighbors, and took to garbage container. He followed me In his car!!!! I went into office to ask them (nicely) to please mark through that statement for future campers. He stormed in and said to young girl in a raging voice, "she has no business harassing you". She assured him I was not being harassing but kindly asked her to mark through for others!!! I left him storming In the office. Again, nice park as far as grounds. Poorly run. Surely others has had a run in with him, as we had TWO!!!!

My wife and I reserved 4 nights, but only stayed 2 because we were so uncomfortable. The Hot Tub was broken and the clubhouse deck was roped off due to rotten floorboards. Some sites were roped off because a root fire burned through the wires which were just below the surface. Code requires they should be at least 18 inches below the surface. This could be very dangerous. Day 1 we were woken up by the seasonal Campers next to us in a profanity laced argument about their drug stash. Sites are narrow and not very private. I have never written a campsite review before but felt an obligation in this case because our experience was so bad...

We had absolutely no problems with the friendly and professional staff. Getting into our site was a little challenging for us as still learning Rvers because of the large trees, but nothing a reasonably seasoned Rver should mind. All utilities worked exactly as they should.

The campground has subcontracted out the connectivity and that was our one frustration. People staying a month or more can get hooked-up with Spectrum for high speed internet and digital cable and I’m sure that works fine. For short term stays you have to deal with the campground’s WiFi contractor for daily, three days, weekly or month rates and they charge extra for extra devices. I used my laptop as a hotspot for my other devices, so I only paid for one device. The speed was usually good enough for Netflix streaming, but there were at least hourly total drop outs in service that were very annoying. There is no cable TV provided by the campground. Even though we stayed near the pool to have a good shot at Dish satellite service, I had no luck with that because of the trees. I’m still learning how to position our portable satellite antenna, so I’m not good at aiming through the trees even when there appears to be a decent opening.

This campground is a sister to the Megunticook Campground by the Sea a couple of miles away and they do a Lobster Bake there every Saturday night. We signed-up, but it got cancelled because if rain, so we were refunded without a hassle.

The campground has a 2 for 1 deal with the Schooner Yacht Heron for wonderful three hour sailing adventures. They sail out of Rockport Harbor 2.6 miles away. There are other schooner ships in the area, but we found the boat newer and well maintained, the captain and crew professional, knowledgeable and fun and with the 2fer deal, we didn’t even think about booking elsewhere, We went twice and had a great time each time. This boat really likes to sail, so you can be sure they you will actually be sailing as soon as you clear the moorings, unless the wind were to totally die.

We love the area and the campground so much we extended our original stay a few more says and were able to stay in the same site. We will be back for a month or two, maybe the whole season, either next summer or the one thereafter, depending on when we go to Alaska.

Sorry I could only go 4 stars because of the connectivity issues for short stay RVers.

This is a small campground that we chose for it's proximity to Camden Maine. The location is nice and the person checking us in was pleasant and helpful. Our site was level but the picnic table was rotten and had boards missing, basically unuseable. The campground is small has a number of long term seasonal sites. The trouble started around 1AM when the residents of one of the long term sites started yelling foul language and clinking glass bottles. The yelling, crying, cursing and screaming went on until 4AM without pause. Since the campground is small, we heard everything, even after we closed all our windows and put on the A/C. I will never return.

Should be called Non-resort. Gravel, non level sites, electric on opposite side from water and sewer, potholes in driveway, sites very close together, OVERPRICED,charges extra for dogs. Website is very deceptive.

We had vey good luck at this campground. Our site near the pool was spacious and we slept very well at this pleasant and quiet campground. The rest rooms were always clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely return when in the Camden/Rockport area. We enjoyed a sail on the schooner Heron at a two for one price for those staying at Camden Hills RV Park.

We have had an excellent stay here as seasonal campers, starting in May and will be here until October so it's safe to say we've seen it all at this campground. Very quiet with about half the campground seasonal and half for short stays. the seasonal area is RVs, not mobile homes which we appreciate. Our site has room for our 31' RV, table, fire ring and 10x10 screen tent. Very well located between Camden, Rockport and Rockland with the harbors, shops, festivals, museums there is plenty to do but it's nice to come back to a quiet campground. I think the terrible experience another camper relates is definitely an anomaly, not the norm. The pool is large and clean. The laundry room is priced well and always dries my clothes in the time allotted. The small camp store has ice and wood and some camping essentials. Plenty of grocery stores nearby and WalMart in Rockland is about 15 minutes away. Close to many lighthouses, Owls Head and Camden Hills state parks. Staff has been super friendly & helpful, and it's also very dog friendly. Showers are free and bathrooms are very clean but could use some updating. The people that own this campground also own Megunticook campground 3 miles away (they call it their sister campground) and we are invited every week to go to their lobster bake on the waterfront. An outstanding meal on the Penobscot Bay waterfront. The pool was down for a week (it was hot too) due to a broken pump but they fixed it as quickly as they could get a replacement pump. The biggest complaint I heard was the lack of cable TV and that you have to pay for internet access. We don't have a TV so that didn't bother us but the internet is worth the price since I could stream Netflix with no buffering. Most seasonal campers got their own cable through the local cable company since the park is already wired for it. The owners say they are trying to work out a deal with the cable company so maybe next year they'll have it. Overall a very good choice for a seasonal site. I would definitely come back if our travels bring us to Maine again.

Arrived on Friday afternoon and check in was fine. Site was tight to adjoining sites but pretty level. First thing our neighbor told us was I bet they didn’t tell you the pool is broken! Second was don’t bother with cable as it hasn’t worked for years! They are repeat seasonal here. Guy across from us is seasonal and drinks beer all day and night and is both loud and uses foul language plus plays music loud. No need to complain as he has lived here 3 years and does work for the owners. Close to Rockport, Camden and Rockland however so we overall were occupied. TV reception with antenna very bad if you can get any at all. Glad we only booked 1 week.

We stayed at this campground while passing through on the way to Nova Scotia. The hosts were from Michigan. They never stopped working and were cheerful and accommodating. Being from Florida, we were amazed the Cable didn't get the weather channel. Ours didn't work at all, so we had to plug in to the next site over.
