I really do not like leaving a negative review, but our stay was so poor, others need to know what a stay at the Old Granite Inn is like. Upon arrival we rang the "innkeeper's doorbell" and Ed appeared - unkempt, cantankerous and without a simple "hello". He then proceeded to charge my card (every other single place I have... More

The owner was wonderful and very welcome and a great cook. Had fun meeting other guests in the dining room. Loved the original walls of the original building. Great selection of books and magazines to read and the rooms were spacious.

The inn is very cozy and Ed and Joan are wonderful innkeepers. The breakfast menu alone is worth the stay! Ed and Joan are both artists and it seems the pour their creativity into the design and making of the daily breakfasts. The demeanor of the B&B is very calm and casual. Visiting the Inn is worth a trip to... More

This inn is just out of the busy part of town but you can walk to everything. The inn is very clean, the beds comfortable and the breakfast is delicious! The inn owner Ed is the breakfast chef and he is good. The inn is very quiet at night and very safe. Right across the street from the harbor and... More

Realizing it was an historical inn, I still felt it had a musty and worn feeling. The hosts were friendly and the breakfast food was outstanding. The room itself was big enough, but the fireplace didn't work and the windows were a chore to open and close. The location was good overlooking the harbor. I hesitate to be really negative,... More

Wonderful because it is a smaller, comfortable and quiet homey atmosphere. Close to shopping and family nearby. Water and boats just across the street. The hosts were very accommodating. Delicious breakfast provided along with the most delicious cookies (Chocolate chip/oatmeal).

Stayed for a weekend trip in the BnB and was looking for a nice and cosy place to stay with a great breakfast - and this is exactly what I got. The hosts were very friendly, the breakfast was delicious (gotta love the lobster quiche) and the BnB is located directly at Main Street of Rockland and also just across... More

We will return. Loved Room 6 overlooking harbor and ferry. Bright and spacious! Yummy breakfast with best quiche Lorraine and scones I've ever had! Loved the mid century modern decor. Close to downtown walking and Strand theater. We will definitely be back!

I've stayed at the Old Granite Inn several times for both business and vacation. I love Rockland and this little B&B is a gem. The breakfasts are hearty and the rooms very peaceful. I also appreciate that they make choices based on environmental impact.

I am not a big fan of B&B's, that was until I stayed at the Old Granite Inn. It didn't feel like I was staying in someone's home but that I was in a Hotel. The room was very comfortably furnished and it was amazingly clean. The Breakfast was awesome. The first day we were served these Blueberry Corn Meal... More
