Never stayed at an Inn before. Very clean and homey place. Our room was secluded off the one entry. Very quite. Décor was nice. room was spacious for a one night stay. Nice location to most shops and restaurants in town. Had a small patio outback for a relaxing drink or just enjoying the evening. Mark the Inn keeper was... More

This could very well be the most perfect hotel in all my travels...and pet-friendly. Even with pets and babies staying, it held the most calm and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel reception assistant, Mark, was so helpful, accommodating, and kind. He is the perfect representation of what I had expected the people in Maine to be. The rooms are immaculate and... More

We stayed 2 nights at the LIndsey Hotel during our trip up the coast of Maine. This was by far the best hotel and B&B we stayed at. The converted captain's home that dates back to the 1800s was very comfortable, very tastefully decorated, excellent attention to detail all around, breakfast was very good and the staff extremely helpful. It's... More

We stayed for 2 nights prior to our Windjammer cruise. Park the car. Everything is an easy walk. Good staff and breakfast and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. We will make this a stop on any future trips.

My bride and I stayed two very nice nights at The Lindsey Hotel. The central downtown location of the Lindsey allowed us to walk everywhere we wanted to go in Rockland. Our room was very nice. The breakfasts were simple, but fresh and delicious. The hotel's staff took great care of us and also helped us out by allowing us... More

Inside this place was beautiful. Everything was very nice. From the room to the food. Would definitely go again. It's not over appealing exterior But whoever did the inside was excellent It's in the heart of town in the middle of everything. Not very forgiving if u are handicapped. A lot of stairs

I stayed here for 2 nights after disembarking from the Stephen Taber (Windjammer cruise) as part of a package deal. The staff easily accommodated my early check-in (around 11 am) after I got off the boat. The hotel common spaces and rooms are beautifully renovated in a tasteful nautical theme. Room 2 had a king bed + unexpected daybed, and... More

The Lindsey is a gem of a boutique hotel. Loved our one-night stay here and wished we were staying longer. The hotel has recently been fully remodeled but retains its historical nautical theme. Beautifully decorated rooms and common areas. An old bank vault with a penny floor serves as a beer/wine cellar. A lounge area with comfortable seating includes old... More

Thank you so much for your very kind review, gridley. The penny floor in the old vault was actually carefully crafted by our hotel manager, Marc. It is without a doubt a one-of-a-kind conversation piece. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. More

Large beautiful rooms at a good price. Walking distance to excellent bayfront shopping and restaurants. Modern nautical feel without being overdone. King size beds with silky soft linens and fluffy pillows. Great place to relax after a day's sailing
