The front desk clerks were very friendly and welcoming! i thought yay a good start. But the creepy narrow hallway and carpet and walls to elevator …were sketchy, dirty and old looking as was the elevator. Our room was clean no dust, hairs etc.(yay & phew) but then the couch had some kind of large white crumbly stain …so I flipped the cushion and surprise cracker crumbs. No big deal it was only crackers. As for the harbor view now that was a joke. The “supposed” view of harbor water was only accessible if I moved right up to…..and stood by the way into the corner where a coffee hutch was situated. I couldn’t even open our window as there was a tear, a 9 inch horizontal by 1 inch vertical shredded tear in the screen. Also, we had a king size bed and only one night stand. I hadn’t a nightstand, or light etc on what would be my side of the bed. WTH? The bathroom was so small you actually had to move over to the tub and angle your body to close the door. Needless to say we were disappointed as it was our first trip since the pandemic began. I gave this a 3 star at the start in this review on the previous page but now upon reflection it should only be a 2 star.

I stopped off in Rockland to go to the Farnsworth Museum, and found this hotel fit the bill well for a short visit. It's within easy walking distance of the museum and the downtown's galleries and other businesses, as well as the nice harbor park. It's directly across the street from the ferry wharf, which I didn't need, but would be great for anyone traveling to the nearby islands. The hotel's buffet breakfast was good and the staff was friendly and helpful. And most of the rooms have balconies.

Our room had the most incredible view of the harbor. The sunrise was amazing. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. The only thing that concerned us was the absence of COVID-19 precautions. Masks were basically non-existent. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience.

The Rockland Hotel was a nice hotel with wonderful staff. It was clean, conveniently located, and provided great coffee and breakfast. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. My Mom got around great in the facilities even with her mobility issues. I would stay again.

The Rockland Harbor Hotel is in a great location, is a good value and is very welcoming. I especially appreciated that the hotel sells beer, wine and other refreshments at the front desk. There is a large outdoor meeting area outside and with a gas fire pit that is a great place for groups to meet outside. The hotel is walking distance from many downtown restaurants and across the street from the ferry terminal. The breakfast was great and "back to normal" full hot offerings.
