Nestled in an idyllic location, the Rockland Harbor Hotel receives accolades for its proximity to local attractions and dining options, all within a stone's throw of the harbor. Guests commend the service for its personable staff and the added special touches that make stays memorable. While the hotel's cleanliness and well-appointed rooms are often highlighted, some guests have noted the value may not align with their expectations regarding views and room placement. We stayed four nights at the RHH, and found it a good place to stay. The staff really goes out of their way to make sure everything is done to please the guests, and do have good protocols to deal with the ongoing pandemic. The location is across from the busy ferry terminal and commercial harbor, so if that would be a problem it might not be the place for you. We've stayed at several independent hotels in mid-coast and down East, and understand the challenges they face, especially with the current travel restrictions. RHH has done a good job, and we'd stay there again. Balconies are small, and could use some refreshing, but the room itself was clean and new-looking. Maid service is restricted because of COVID, but the staff is happy to change towels or provide supplies. Our room had a refrigerator and microwave and a Keurig (which we did not use).

The Rockland Harbor Hotel is very convenient to the Main Street of Rockland and was a great location for the weekend of Pie Parade in Rockland and Camden. The hotel has been renovated and they have included many services that travelers use and need.
The hot breakfast has many choices and I especially liked that they had oatmeal as one along with eggs, sausage, waffles, cereals, yogurt, fruit and many bread and muffin choices. The coffee also was very good and such a nice way to start the day. There is also laundry areas on some of the floors and an exercise room. It is nice to have a little mini store near the front desk so you can have access to items you might decide you wanted in the evening without going out.
The beds were comfortable and the rooms very clean and, in our room, we had a couch which was nice to sit and read and watch TV and not have to sit on the bed. Although you can see the water from the hotel it is more of the working area of the water front as the ferry docks there.
The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful and the environment at the hotel is low key and comfortable. It provided a very nice location to visit Rockland with friends, and the Pie Parade was very enjoyable, too.

My family spent 4 nights at the Rockland Harbor Hotel in Rockland, Maine. It is located directly across from the Harbor and in town close to a couple art museums, historical museums, restaurants, and shops. This location is only several miles from two lighthouses. All in all, the location was very nice. The room was clean and seemed to be recently renovated. The beds are a little on the firm side, but the pillows were wonderful. Our room had a microwave, mini fridge, keurig, iron and ironing board, and hair dryer. A nice sized TV was also in the room...but with some many things to do and see nearby, it was not utilized by our family. There was also a desk with chair and a sitting chair in the room. A very nice closet in addition to 3 drawers for hanging/storing clothing. The room also had a balcony with two chairs. We had a fantastic view of the sunrise from our room on the 4th floor. It seemed all of the rooms faced the harbor. Parking was adequate and included in the booking. Additionally, there is a fantastic seating area outside featuring several tables with chairs and a firepit with seating around it. The included breakfast was fantastic and changed a little everyday. Omletes, eggs, sausage, bacon, vegetarian sausage, toast, bagels, muffins, cereal, fruit...pretty much something for everyone! Although there was no maid service during our stay, whenever we needed new linens or toiletries the hotel staff was very accommodating. Every staff member we encountered was very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking bvb to stay in the Rockland area! The only thing which could enhance this location is a swimming pool!

I had first stayed at the Rockland Harbor Hotel a couple years ago by myself for a work-related trip and had been quite happy about the room and the location. When planning a short vacation to Rockland with my husband, I knew this would be the place to stay!

The rooms are very comfortable and clean. We stayed in a harbor view king and had a fantastic view! For the best views, stay on the higher floors. We stayed on the 5th floor in a corner room and had excellent views of the water. My husband and I enjoyed sitting on our balcony and watching the water ferry across the street.

The location of the hotel is wonderful. In addition to the harbor views, the hotel is on the main street in Rockland, with numerous businesses and restaurants within walking distance,

The Rockland Harbor Hotel was also excellent in their COVID safety measures. It was evident that they take the health and safety of their staff and guests very seriously! We were very impressed with the measures they took to help protect their guests and staff including requiring masks in the common areas, limiting elevator use to one party at a time, hand sanitizer in the lobby and outside the elevator, and plexiglass at the front desk. Every staff member we saw was wearing a face covering.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Rockland Harbor Hotel and look forward to staying there again next time we are in the area!

We just spent three nights at Rockland Harbor Hotel and found it to be a very good choice for exploring the mid coast region of Maine (Camden, Belfast, Boothbay Harbor) The staff were friendly and helpful , always pleasant at a very challenging time. The bagged breakfast was well beyond what might be expected: a wrapped donut or muffin, yogurt, apple or orange, bottled water and a granola bar!. Coffee to go was available also. The restaurant choices in the area were good (lots of outdoor dining) and we enjoyed several delicious seafood meals, especially the lobster. The Main Street had some nice gift shops and we were again impressed with the very friendly and helpful people running these shops. We will return to Rockland Harbor Hotel.

This is my "harbor view." As this is our anniversary weekend, I asked if they had a room at a higher level (hoping to not be sitting basically 8 feet above the hood of the car parked below my room). Nothing higher. How about one that at least has a full-on view of the harbor? No, not all of their rooms are open. One would think if you're just going to open SOME of your rooms, you would at least open the ones directly facing the harbor. Why would you choose to open the least desirable rooms you have? Am I happy? No, I am not. (P.S. On top of everything else, there is a couple on the top level, sitting on their balcony, directly facing the harbor, so everything he told me was also a LIE.)

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights during our recent tour of the New England region and we certainly were not disappointed. The official star rating does not do it justice.
The hotel’s location is ideal, situated right in the centre of the beautiful town of Rockland and only a short drive from Camden and Damariscotta. There are a number of wonderful restaurants within walking distance.
Our room, which had a small balcony overlooking Rockland harbour, was spacious and well presented, complete with all the amenities you would expect from a modern hotel.
The complementary breakfast was very good, with a good selection of items on offer and attentive staff on hand who would replenish when required.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was ever too much bother for them. We really did feel welcomed and should we ever visit the area again, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here. Thank you for the warm welcome!

The hotel is super clean and boasts the friendliest, most helpful staff ever. Every room (our third stay) has an incredible view of the working harbor and ferry terminal, the offshore islands, the breakwater and lighthouse, and some of the pretty downtown area. Conveniently located and easily walkable to just about everything Rockland, you couldn’t ask for a better location. We simply love the Rockland Harbor Hotel and plan many more stays to get away and still feel very safe and respected during the COVID pandemic.

Rockland Harbor is conviently located on Main Street , directly across from the ferry terminal and within easy walking distance of several restaurants.

I was pleased that our room was ready when we arrived at 11:30 in the morning.

Our room was comfortable and it contained a small balcony overlooking the waterfront.

I had three basic concerns: The elevator was very slow and occupancy was limited to one party at a time. The parking lot seemed too small to accommodate a fully booked hotel. Finally the grab and go breakfast was very meager even given the
Covid 19 precautions.

Rachel who handled checkin and out as well as the breakfast was friendly and professional.

We felt very welcomed when checking in. During several encounters the staff was professional yet very friendly and helpful. We reserved a room without a balcony but it still had a sliding glass door and the same view as those with balconies. the room was spacious and clean. Due to covid breakfast was served in a brown paper bag to go and contained yogurt, fruit, granola bar and a muffin. Juice ans coffee were available and the staff asked if we wanted an extra bag to take with.
