Check in is via website and our room was immaculate. They are taking Covid precaution very seriously. Consequently, the restaurant is not open. We got room service for breakfast but would have preferred to have dinner and drinks in the hotel. That's the only reason I didn't give it five stars. The location is great and there is plenty to do in town. We'll be back,

Patricia, thanks so much for your feedback and for recognizing our emphasis on safety and cleanliness. We would also love to have the restaurant open and we understand the disappointment. Unfortunately it wasn't feasible to operate every part of the Inn this season due to lack of help. We're aiming to have the restaurant up and running next summer, and hopefully in a COVID-free environment. We look forward to welcoming you back!

This was our first night away from home since the pandemic started. The inn was very detailed in following CDC guidelines and gave us the confidence to stay there. We originally had reservations elsewhere but after reading reviews and no mention of precautions, we cancelled. The motel room offered a nice pond view with screened in porch. We used the microwave for our dinner and a nearby bakery had awesome goodies for breakfast. Many shops and eateries are also close by. We enjoyed our brief stay in this beautiful area and would certainly recommend the inn to others.

Thank you for deciding to stay with us for your first getaway during the pandemic! Your review means a lot to us because our goal has been to keep everyone safe while staying or working here, and to provide people with the confidence to visit during the pandemic. We've received criticism for being excessive or paranoid, but we think safety is more important than popularity. Thanks so much for your vote of confidence!

We spent 2 nights and considering all the challenges the inn has a good plan to deal with the challenges of the corona virus. Check in was contactless as the keys were left in an envelope at the door. The room was nice and it was clean. Breakfast is pre-ordered the night before and delivered next morning at a pre-arranged time via contact less delivery. The breakfast we ordered was good. Coffee pot with coffee, microwave and fridge are provided.

As others have mentioned the inn has a great location by Hayley’s pond. We stayed in a room with a porch/deck but sadly the views are impacted by low seating/high porch fencing. You need to stand up to get the best of the views. Area is very quiet and serene. Rooms were smaller than we expected but generally clean ( forgot to clean our bathroom glass shelf which was marked upon arrival ) and functional. Showers not very powerful but perfectly adequate. As we stayed during the pandemic we found the inn lacking in any personal welcome or touch. In fact, whereas we appreciate the efforts to socially distance more effort could be made to welcome guests, explain the area etc. Other places we have stayed have managed to do this whilst adhering to all COVID protocols. May as well have been staying in a Hampton Inn which ironically is larger, more comfortable and cheaper ! When we did request anything, it was always dealt with quickly and efficiently.

First, I would like to apologize that your visit with us was not satisfactory. My goal this season has been to continue to provide the same level of service and comfort that our guests have come to expect, while ensuring that all of our guests and employees remain safe. Our housekeeping staff have checklists to ensure that no surfaces are forgotten while cleaning, so the bathroom shelf should not have had marks on it. That is inexcusable and I will address it with our team. While we have limited in-person interactions, we are just a phone call away and very happy to assist with local information and activity planning. Our Inn is also open for guests from our Haley Pond Lodge to visit, with masks on, to speak with us in-person. If there is anything specific that you think we could have done to make you feel more welcome, I invite your feedback at travis@therangeleyinn.com. With regard to the porch railings, unfortunately this is the regulation height and we are not permitted to have lower railings. We will take your feedback into consideration when we are due to replace the seating or the balusters as there may be some options that yield better views. Thank you again for your honest feedback.

Our first time in beautiful Rangeley. We spent two relaxing nights in the inn’s waterfront lodging. Serene views of Haley Pond, pets allowed, & helpful, friendly staff. A welcoming, scenic lakeside town with a mix of dining options (even with COVID restrictions). We’ll happily visit again!
