It was a hot and sunny day. We arrived early afternoon to the Inn and a sign "sorry we're not here right now to greet you", so we called the number. Scott told us he's at lunch -"go ahead inside, have a cold drink, I'll be there shortly." The place felt like home just walking in the front door. A... More

When you think of Maine, you picture a harbor setting with lobster and fishing boats moored in a bay. That's what you see from the front porch at Elsa's Inn on the Harbor. We stayed in the Dorothy room accessed from the front porch. Many times we've stayed in B&B's with only one room chair. The Dorothy room was furnished... More

What a very nice quaint and peaceful place. Stayed here 3 days and felt very comfortable and welcomed! Going in & out everyday I felt like I was at home! Heather the Chef made a great breakfast every morning and Scott the owner was a great host. This place is a real treasure in itself. If you want to stay... More

We are very lucky at Elsa's to attract such wonderful guests. Is it the inn or is it the location? Maybe both? Even after their very first stay, our guests become friends and extended family. We are always happy to see them come back! More

Traveling along the northern half of the Maine coast after the "season" is over leaves one with few places to stay, but we hit on this B&B and were very pleased. It was a little over our budget, but not unfairly priced, given the area. Proprietor was very accommodating, room was very comfortable and well-appointed, and the breakfast was very... More

Stayed in the large end room upstairs with whirlpool tub. Inn has been totally reconstructed while retaining the ambiance, down to wallpaper, of an old Mainers home. This means that it remains charming but the doors and windows close, the floors are level and sound proofing is reasonable. Breakfast was delicious, hosts were friendly and interesting. Working wharf across the... More

The facility has everything... smoke alarms, sprinkler systems, evacuation alarms. You couldn't be safer. Rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated; bed put me to sleep. Breakfast is gourmet. This morning we had stuffed french toast, fresh fruit, blueberry muffins, orange juice, coffee and link sausage. Excellent cook on staff. All the guests were friendly and openly shared their area experiences.... More

We were in the area for a family gathering. What a beautiful place the views are wonderful. Sit in the rocking chairs on the front porch and take in the essence of a small Maine harbor. Rooms are clean and cozy. Exactly what you expect in a great B and B

We chose this Inn for proximity to family in the area, but we found it to be a welcoming, comfortable choice. The room was cozy, clean and pretty. The bath was roomy (we were in the handicapped accessible room). The setting was perfect - across from the water, with lovely green space and patio in the rear. The breakfasts were... More

I have been debating writing this but decided I needed to. I recently stayed at Elsa's and was not impressed. One of the windows in the room had a broken latch and could not be secured. A different window had a broken blind that I had to push a chair against to keep down. My trash was never emptied my... More

Had a nice stay at Elsa's after asking some of the locals what they would recommend. Said we would have a delightful breakfast as well as a nice stay there. They were right. We were served a yummy egg dish as well as their "world famous granola with fresh organic yogurt. Topped that off with some wonderful muffins and a... More
