Rented a cottage here and sorry I could only stay for one day. Cottage is charming, very basic, and on the rocks overlooking beautiful Prospect Harbor. Very quiet and rural. There is a tiny porch on the front and flowers growing at the windows. A two-burner stove and a fridge, simple bath with shower. Open windows. I hope to visit...

This was the second time we've stayed at Albee's. Like the first time a couple years ago, it was an excellent experience. The setting is just spectacular--quiet, feet from the ocean, with no commerce around the harbor except the lobster boats coming and going down at the lobster facility a half mile down the harbor. The cottages are a bit...

We stayed in New Cabin for two nights with our grandson. Although there was no TV we did have wifi so our 14 year old was relatively happy with that arrangement. There was plenty of beautiful scenery to keep us entertained and I personally could have stayed right on the front porch for our entire stay and been happy. The...

It was the most incredible pleasure to spend an early Fall weekend back at Albee's with my adult daughter, Sarah. My personal connection began 50 years ago when my family found our way there on a summer vacation. At that time Elwin and Bea Albee were there, welcoming all to their lovely cottages perched on the harbor's edge. Though it's...

My husband and I stayed at Albee's for the second time this summer. And as it turns out (because Rich hangs on to all his records:). This is where I stayed with my parents when I was a little girl. You just can't get more of a real Maine experience than you do at Albee's. The cottages are very 'campy',...

Our family was back again at Albees cottages. Couldn't get/find my other Albee review to come up so started another one. Again, a retro, restored with a taste of "elegance," old time Maine cottage experience right on the bay. It is a relaxing travel back in time to the old days. Prospect Harbor is located near Acadia National Park so...

This little enclave of cottages is the gem in the Schoodic Peninsula area of Maine. Each cabin has a kitchen with utensils, clean linen, and a knock out view (30 feet away) of the water. Eagles and Osprey fish in front of your porch. The place is deceivingly shabby but that exterior hides fastidiously well kept cottages.

I stayed at Albee's with a couple of friends and we had a great time. The cottage we stayed in was certainly not modern but it had a rustic charm. Best of all, it was maybe 10 feet from the water. It included a porch looking out over the harbor and a big window in the sunny kitchen. In the...

Having vacationed the past 4 years just outside downtown Bar Harbor, our stay at Albee's showed us how relaxing and enjoyable it could be to stay out of the hustle and bustle of MDI. Our cottage offered enough of a kitchen to cook simple meals when we wanted to, with a double burner, fridge and toaster oven. The cabin was...

Thank you, Richard! My husband, puppy, and I had the most relaxing week in our cottage by the sea. We were woken in the morning by the sound of gulls and geese and lulled to sleep by the sound of the water. The location was perfect for us - close enough to trails and bike rides and nearby towns, but...
