Amazing place! Well-maintained grounds, clean bathhouse, considerate fellow guests. Pride of ownership is apparent at this family-owned campground. My daughters and I had a short 2-day stay as a budget-friendly alternative to local, overpriced, 'blah' hotels for 'swap-out weekend' at their summer camp in Limestone. We were thrilled with the price point and the courtesy of the staff. The pool was crystal clean, dumpster area tidy, and tent sites lush with green grass and plenty of foliage. We look forward to visiting again next year!

We were on a fall 4-day leaf peeping adventure and this campground seemed like a good base location. They were Covid compliant, helpful, good internet and the sites were clean and well maintained. We'll come back.

We made a reservation August 10th o stay at the Riverview Cabin Oct 15-18 with the knowledge and willingness to abide by any COVID-19 requirements still in place upon our arrival. This morning we received an email that our reservation was given to someone else because they assumed we would not be able to fulfill either the 14 day quarantine or COVID tests during our stay. When I responded that we had already arranged for testing and that they should have contacted us prior to giving away our reservation, not attempt was made to rectify the situation. The fault was placed on me for not communicating ahead of time our intentions to get the test, but that was communicated at the time the reservation was placed and confirmed. We've stayed there several times in the past with a good experience, but not likely to again. Very unprofessional.

Just returned from staying at Arndt's Campground with our ATV Club for the second time (although I stayed in the farmhouse a few months back for a snowmobiling trip). As always the Arndts and their employees were fantastic and the crew I brought up to The County thoroughly enjoyed the campground. When the only complaint I could drag out of any of them was the fact that the bathhouse seemed a little too far (I personally think a little exercise is good) I suspect it means that the campground is top notch. Clean sites. Clean bathrooms with showers with all kinds of pressure. The ability to ride the ATVs from the campsite to the trail nearby was nice since it meant no trailering once we were set up. I highly recommend this campground.

We just returned from our third time at Arndt's. My son goes to summer camp in Limestone so we take the opportunity to camp at this beautiful campground while he's off at camp. The campground is very well maintained - it looks more like a park, and is so green and lush. It does sit on a hill, but that affords an amazing view and we've never had any issue getting in or out, and never experienced a traffic jam on their driveway. The campsites are large and mostly level and we've never felt too close to any other campers. We've also never experienced facing another camper's front door as mentioned in another review. We've always felt like we had plenty of space and privacy here. We've been there the past two years during 4th of July week, and it's been incredibly quiet. We walked around at least a couple nights after 9:00 and not one other campsite had a fire going. The quiet and lack of partying was surprising for a popular holiday week! The hiking trails are awesome and we've spent lots of time out there exploring - the trails are very well kept and can keep you wandering for hours. Above everything, it's super clean and every person we've met at this campground has been wonderful. We're already planning our 2019 trip, and hoping to stay for a month this time! Can't forget, the sunsets...some of the best sunsets I've ever seen have been while I'm sitting at Arndt's!

This is a very nice and well maintained RV park. Big sites and not crammed together. Plenty of room to spread out. We did not use any of the facilities but we could see that they were well maintained. The only reason I gave it a 4 was because of the way they have the hookups and the direction that you have to pull in for the hook ups to be on the correct side. The only other area of concern was the tight road up tp the sites. If you have a small rig it’s no problem but if you have a large rig it’s tight. We have a 45 foot motor home and it was tight and we had to get into the branches of a tree in order to make the turn. A simple fix to make the access easier. I would also like to see that they require proof of rabies vaccination for all pets brought into the park. More and more parks are requiring this due to the rise in incidents of rabid animals. It’s simple and could save some poor soul from some uncomfortable shots if bitten. But this is a great park and we would stay again if in the area.

I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay at our campground. We work hard to keep it clean and well maintained. Campers, fifth wheels and motorhomes are getting larger and larger and we are trying to keep up with the industry demands. We want to accommodate to the best of our abilities. Most of our hook ups work great with most campers and motor homes with the hookups being on the drivers side. We are finding that some people are choosing to hook up opposite from the way they were designed so that they can accommodate their satellite dish. Giving the tree on the corner a trim is a good idea. We hope that you will return to Arndt's Campground on your next visit to the area.

It had been a few years since we had been to the campground but we felt the need to go back...and we were not disappointed. Clare and Ken are still so hospitable and the grounds are as well kept as ever. The biggest surprise was our walk back to the beaver dam...it has overtaken so much of the land. I guess the saying busy as a beaver is really the way it is happening. We had three adjoining campsites and it was easy in, easy out. We had seniors in the group with mobility issues and they were able to go from one site to another with little problems. I just had to go down to the office and connect to wifi if I so desired...but I was really there to get away from it all... enjoy family, the outdoors, the night sky and great sleeps from all the fresh air. Without a doubt we will be back next year..

We camped here in a 41' fifth wheel toyhauler in June and September 2017. This campground has direct access to ATV trails and we were able to unload, set up and hit the trails. You may ride your ATV to the trail head and back to your site, but you may not ride around the campground, so it is not noisy. The sites are large, level, and lushly grassy and include a picnic table and a fire ring. There are beautiful birch trees here and there around the property, but not interfering with access to the sites. The views of rolling hills and cropland was truly beautiful, and there are several mowed walking trails on the property. There are several seasonal sites and everyone was friendly. Most of the full hookup sites are arranged "back to back and front to front" so you are not looking at someone's water and sewer service from your awning area. We stayed on site 50 and site 49. Both were long enough to allow opening our garage door without blocking the roadway. There was plenty of room for our truck and side by side without crowding our site. It was very quiet and peaceful at night when we were there. The restrooms are large and very clean. There is a small playground for children and a pool which we did not use, but which was sparkling clean. The city of Presque Isle is a short drive away (less than 10 minutes by car) and offers a full selection of restaurants and shopping. I can't wait to return.

Want to face your neighbors front door while camping?? Campground is on the side of a hill with a great view of the valley. A narrow winding one lane gravel road leads uphill to the campground. ( not wide enough to pass someone coming from opposite direction) The sites are grass, wide and level. The MAJORITY of the sites you face your neighbors front door. That is because the utilities are at every other site meaning all sites face your neighbors front door. ( there are only a very few not like that) Not what I would want. There are others where the utilities are on the wrong side for a camper/ 5th wheel. We were told the sites were set up for motor homes to pull into. I don't see the difference if a motor home has to back in when they arrive or back out to leave. . The campground is a few miles outside of town in a rural setting. They have all the amenities that you would expect except for cable tv. They have mowed trails for hiking including one to the river which is across the road and down a small hill. Normally I would give this campground 4 stars but with the utilities set up like they are I give them just 3 stars. ,,,,,,,,,,, If you are looking for moose we saw several about sunset on route 11 about 25 miles south of Fort Kent all on the east side of the road.

We're sorry that your stay at our campground did not meet your expectations. We work hard to keep a nice, clean, family oriented campground and are sorry that you were disappointed. We have chosen not to widen the driveway in an attempt to keep the speed down. We frequently have children at the campground who are having fun and sometimes forget to look before darting out beside a camper. We don't want to have anyone hurt. Many of our sites were designed to pull into them as our water, electric and sewer connections are on the drivers side. This works great for motor homes. If you happen to have a large 5th wheel (and truck) and need a 50 amp site, then you might need to back in. That way you would be facing your neighbor. More than 1/2 of our hook ups don't have you facing your neighbor. We often have families/friends who camp together and enjoy having their awnings face each other so that they can share the space. We have tried to accommodate different scenarios. Again, we're sorry that you weren't completely satisfied with your experience at Arndt's Campground.
