This B&B is on the edge of downtown but within easy walking distance. There is a great communal lounge area with lots of information, a DVD and book library. There is also plenty of teas and coffee all the time and a fridge. The rooms and bathrooms are really clean. The bed linen is lovely and the beds very comfy....

From the beginning of our trip Tim and Jake made us feel welcome. We received a friendly text telling us our room was ready while we were still on the road. The inn recently underwent a renovation and you would never know we were the first couple to stay there since it was completed. Nothing was out of place and...

Friendly and helpful owners who provide a good home made breakfast with a positive community living style. Location is ideal to visit all of Portland on foot and good restaurants are close too. Trader Joes is five minutes walk, so a good glass of wine in front of the 50 inch TV with some nibbles is no problem! Thanks, Clive...

Home away from home. Great vibe. Amazing breakfast. Super comfy bed (wow!) and use of private bathroom. Loved room #4. Best common room I have ever seen at a B&B- decor and style same as our home in Rochester, NY so really made us feel at home. Tim and Jake felt like old friends from the minute we met them....

The commitment of the guys who run this place, to minimizing environmental impact is welcome, creative, and even inspiring. Their hospitality and breakfasts are top-shelf. The 2nd floor common area is nice. There are some cute quirks that come with an older building (120 years old), e.g., our room 4 on the 3rd floor had a private bathroom, but you...

This place is truly outstanding. Beautiful historic victorian lovingly reimagined by some truly great people. I feel sorry for anyone who feels the need to nit pick here. This place is the real deal. The rooms are lovely, filled with sunlight, immaculately kept, and beautifully decorated. However, Mercury lives in the details from chromecasts in the bedrooms to homemade cookies...

First impressions were not good. The point of entry is unkempt (old peeling paint work and a dilapidated aspect, the garden verge on the sidewalk was overrun with weeds, blue 'recycling' boxes dumped next to the drive, and overflowing with water), we wondered what sort of place we had arrived at. However, we received a pleasant welcome from owner Tim...

From the efficient and friendly check-in to the DELICIOUS breakfast each day we loved every second of our stay. We stayed in Room IV which is huge, well designed (stylish and functional/comfortable) and has everything that we needed. It is on the 3rd floor which is worth it if you don't mind the stairs for the tree-top view. The private...

We loved it here. Just enough off the beaten path to be peaceful, but within walking distance to all the places we wanted to go. Rooms were comfy and chic, and the amenities were most amenable (loved the lounge area). As it happened, the kitchen was undergoing some emergency work, so we were unable to assess breakfast options; but we...
