Service was uniformly outstanding. Our room (1208), an upgrade from the assigned room using Bonvoy points, overlooked the art museum and old port. Room was clean but well worn. Bed was lumpy and uneven. Room HVAC fan was loud and thermostat was difficult to set. Hotel engineer attempted to service the fan but we did not detect any improvement. Hotel breakfast was adequate with excellent service. Roof top lounge was uninviting and exhaust system was inadequate in removing fried food odors. We used the complimentary valet service for multiple trips during our 4 night stay, which was convenient and flexible.

I'm a gold member but did not get an upgrade to a better and bigger room. The one assigned to me was small and smelly (cigarettes and humidity). You can walk to downtown if you are brave, many homeless harassing tourist. By paying over $300 a night I was expecting a much better experience. Not recommended.

My wife and I were in Portland visiting our son who is working remotely in the there for a month or so. Being from Boston we had visited Portland on several occasions but never really spent time exploring. The location of this hotel is perfect for really getting to know downtown. Walking distance to everything. The hotel is terrific, staff is super friendly and helpful, facilities are comfortable and in meticulous condition. It is pet friendly which worked out well. Nothing negative to say, it was great.

The hotel advertises as "upscale hotel, " so I came to expect a dose of luxury. I found a mediocre hotel, well located though, close to downtown Portland. With the caveat of COVID 19, (although in June 2021 many restrictions were lifted), I found the hotel lacking in service. The room was clean, with a coffee maker, a safe, tv and a radio. We were supposed to ask for housekeeping service, but were not informed of it, so our supply of coffee, or shampoo was not replenished. Bottled water was complementary, downstairs in the reception are, but again no one informed us of it. The tv, had only regular channels, no access to streaming services. Wifi was free.

We stayed here memorial day weekend and were so glad we picked it. The staff was extremely friendly at check in, the shuttle service from the hotel to nearby places saved us a lot of money and trouble trying to find a lyft or taxi service. the breakfast that was included for us as bonvoy members was average, but gain the staff very nice and friendly. Must visit the rooftop lounge, one side has spectacular views of the sunset, but get there early to get a table!
