My stay at the Inn on Carleton was the absolute best experience I have had in a long time! Jim was absolutely delightful and incredible helpful. I stayed 2 nights, and the breakfasts were delicious. Jim is so thoughtful and helpful, and was wonderful to be around. The room was adorable, and the amenities were sweet. It is the perfect location to be close enough downtown, without dealing with any noise. Would 10/10 recommend and stay again!

My partner and I recently stayed at The Inn on Carleton. We were very impressed with the care given to make sure everything was sanitized. Upon entering hand sanitizers and masks were available for our use. The living area and dining room were decorated perfectly for the season. Our room was immaculate with a cute little electric wood stove for ambience. I fell in love with the bathroom and the little claw foot bathtub, which I enjoyed using. The amenities were displayed with just the creative touch one looks for in a B&B versus a hotel. Breakfast, which consists of pear chai scones, yogurt fruit parfait, Maine blueberry sausage, and pumpkin pancakes, was delicious and served with all the care one wants in this COVID time. The owner was delightful and very accommodating making sure we had everything we needed or wanted. We could not recommend The Inn on Carleton more highly. Treat yourself to a little bit of heaven.…
The Inn is located on a very quiet street and safe neighborhood but close enough to to walk downtown. The Innkeeper, Jim, could not have been more gracious, helpful and hospitable. The Inn is immaculate with lovely decor and crown molding throughout; the guest rooms lovely and comfortable, and the breakfast absolutely delicious. My husband and I would definitely stay here again when we return to Portland.
BNB's are all about the people and jim is a great host! we stayed 4 nights - clean, comfortable bed, covid safe, snacks, and great breakfasts. The location is good for walking downtown, to the art museum, and the west prominade. safe neighborhood to..
