Great hotel - modern and clean. Great staff too. Decent breakfast included but no other meal or drink service so you have to go outside (plenty of choices nearby within 5 mins walk). Easy to get to from airport - approx $15 by Uber ($25 by taxi!!)
Excellent Return Visit On a return holiday visit, I can appreciate anew why we decide to stay here when we want to stay in Portland. *Excellent walkable downtown location *Front desk is focused on service first *Parking is convenient, although there is a charge. *Convenient light breakfast provided Although the holiday crowd in the hotel was busy, the staff manages to carry on without a bad step. What more do you need for your getaway?
Great hotel, nicely renovated in wonderful downtown location with a caring staff. A+ it was cold during my stay (outside, not in the hotel) but the staff made up for this. I would certainly stay again and would recommend to friends and colleagues.
Kayla (I think that’s here name? Katie?) was perfect and made my stay the best. Lots of recommendations and very friendly. 10/10 recommended! Clean hotel, updated rooms, friendly staff, close to restaurants and bars
Staff always friendly from the front desk, room attendant and doormen. After the room renovation, rooms look much better and more inviting. Breakfast is good and more than enough to start your day. Location is great.
The hotel felt brand new. The staff were great. We had some challenges with the room temperature but they jumped right on it. We had our little dog with us and they were very accommodating which was good because it was our first time taking our dog to a hotel.
Good room. Noisy AC/heating unit. There was a decent fitness room, which I used every day. Standard Hampton breakfast, which we rated average. Good location near the waterfront, and walkable nearly everywhere downtown. For example, we walked to the Victoria Mansion in about 20 minutes. Our biggest complaint was parking - there was no real option other than Valet Parking, which was $30 per day.
One of the nicest Hamptons I've ever stayed at. New, comfortable, spotless. Good variety at breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff gave great restaurant recommendations. Great location, just steps from so much. $30 felt excessive for the valet, but staff was helpful.
We stayed here for a night while passing through town late at night on our way home from northern Maine, and were quite happy with our stay. We were greatly warmly and were promptly checked in to our room, and given very clear directions on how to find our room. The lobby was very clean and well-maintained. Our room was super spacious and cozy, with a comfortable bed and a welcoming vibe to it. The complimentary breakfast was hot and delicious, and the staff continuously refilled food items that ran out. Parking is also complimentary. The price was surprisingly reasonable, given that this hotel is centrally located in the downtown area.
What a great hotel!!! First of all, being greeted by kindness and a toasty fireplace as soon as we entered set the stage for a great mini vacation. The staff was great, the bedroom with 2 double beds was perfect. It was clean as a whistle as well as the bathroom and the mattresses were so comfy. The breakfasts were wonderful! Waffles, potatoes, meat egg frittatas, delicious assortment of rolls, muffins, biscuits and bread, assortment of juices, cereal, oatmeal and coffee, tea or hot chocolate. When I return to beautiful Portland, I will be staying at the Hampton again.
