We priced out downtown waterfront hotels but found this motel just a couple miles away for less than half the cost of downtown, and also got free parking, free wi-fi, and free breakfast. It was a great deal!! We liked this motel a lot, and it lived up to other La Quintas where we have stayed. Very clean lobby with...

Like staying at an average hotel, some good some not so good but overall very good for the dollar. Very clean and friendly though decor is a bit dated. Breakfast was what you would expect with the addition of hot waffles. TV were very small and on a short table which made viewing a little difficult.

We made last minute reservations, and this was the closest to town, reasonably-priced hotel. It was clean and comfortable. The helpful staff advised us on how to take the city bus downtown, and then later in the evening, we walked home (maybe 45 minutes?). No complaints.

Good clean room comfortable bed. they allowed dogs- Had a bad experience with an irresponsible owner who had his dog-large german shepherd- off leash in the lobby. As I exited my room the dog ran and attacked my dog -only 1/3 his size. Owner didn't even apologize - just grabbed his-put the leash on after the attack. Gives dog owners...

While on a cruise, my elderly parents had a medical emergency and my father was removed from the ship and admitted to Maine Medical Center. I flew to Maine to help them through this stressful event in an unfamiliar town. The staff at LA Quinta were very courteous to us during this difficult time. They gave us a medical emergency...

Hotels were full over Columbus day weekend and prices were high downtown. We "settled" for the La Quinta a mere 5-10 minute drive from downtown. It was totally worth it. We paid less and paid for $5-$7 Uber rides downtown. Breakfast is nothing special, but there's something for everyone. Yogurt, fruit, muffins, boiled eggs. Rooms were clean, staff was great...

As a last resort it's fine but after a night there I'd stay elsewhere next visit to Portland. On the upside a very nice and somewhat unique Denny's is nearby. It's a short drive to downtown Portland and some interesting neighborhoods. On the downside the hotel is located across the street from a Diary Processing plant. While not attractive to...

Easy to get from place to place from this hotel. We primarily visited Cape Elizabeth and it was a quick drive. Seemingly safe area and room was clean. Parking is included with the hotel. Ok breakfast options. Would stay here again.

I don't think this is really near any great tourist attraction but it is a great stopover place. I always love LaQuinta because of the pet friendly policy. The rooms here are large and the bed is excellent. We stayed in BarHarbor the night before at another hotel. ,the room was not nearly as nice and the beds were terrible....
