4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

Recently stayed here for one night prior to a several day stay on Monhegan Island. The room we had in the Seaside on the 2nd floor was very nice and bed was super comfortable. Accommodations were clean, staff was friendly. As others mentioned, the steps to the 2nd floor are steep and particularly so when carrying luggage. The only thing... More

We rarely stay in B&B's, but there were no alternatives in small settlement of Port Clyde, Maine. Our room had nice view across the street of the little lobster/ferry port of Port Clyde, Maine, at end of peninsula below Rockport. Sounds like the perfect B&B experience, no? Bed and pillows fine. Comfy couch & flat-screen tv, fine. Bathrobes, fine. Quiet... More

This lovely old Inn is comfortable and clean. We were on the third floor, up some very narrow, steep stairs. This was not a problem for us, but for those who have mobility issues, it would be better to request a room on the lower floors. We used the outside staircase frequently, which worked great for coming and going. We... More

Thank you for your five star review! Again, we apologize for the problems with breakfast. We want all our guests to have a great experience while in Port Clyde, but occasionally mistakes happen. When a problem arrises that is our fault, as you mentioned, we try to fix the situation immediately. We hope to see you again! More

Seaside Inn has a great location before you embark for the ferry ride to Monhegan Island. We arrived late afternoon and had a room on the first floor. I suggest you avoid the first floor, as the bathroom for the bar next door was located across from the room. The room though was recently updated, clean and bright. The bar... More

We appreciate you taking the time to review us. The Barn, next door to the Seaside Inn is open from 4-9 on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. It is a really relaxed and fun place to hang out, and we're glad you enjoyed it. The great thing about Port Clyde is once you arrive, you never have to get in... More

We spent only one night in this charming inn, but the room was lovely, the bed comfortable and the staff welcoming. The complimentary breakfast was very good and the proximity to the ferry to Monhegan Island could not be beat.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review, and we hope you'll stay with us again. As you said, we are a great place to spend the night before a trip to Monhegan because we are right across the street from the ferry! More

The barn is open Thursday to Saturday evenings. The town of Port Clyde comes out on Thursdays for a very good time. They serve very good special drinks and excellent shrimp cocktails. We very much enjoy meeting friends in the Barn. You might also check out the gallery upstairs, which is open daily in the afternoons. They have a nice... More

Friendly service in this definitely old but charming BnB near the waterfront of Port Clyde. The steep stairs had not been cleaned well and certainly would be quite dangerous for anyone who is not in good physical condition. Somewhat overpriced for this type of lodging. However, we stayed at the height of the summer season. Morning breakfast was okay and... More

Thank you for taking the time to review us. The Ocean House is indeed "old." built in the 1800's and the stairs, original to the building, are steep. Thank you for pointing this out to any potential future guests, and know that we have added rooms at the Seaside Inn on the first floor to accommodate anyone that cannot do... More

We spent 2 nights in this cozy inn, breathing sea air and enjoying the activity in a working harbor. Wow! Linda Bean has surely improved Port Clyde. A nice touch was the wine glasses in our pretty room, the Port Hole, at the top of the first landing. Staff graciously allowed us to leave our car in the parking lot... More

What a nice review, thank you. The room you stayed in, "The Port Hole" has the LLBean Blueberry print bedding and is indeed a very cozy room overlooking the back harbor. We agree with you, Port Clyde is a bit of "Blueberry Heaven", please come again! More

We regretted that we only had one night to stay in the Seaside Inn.Our rooms were lovely. The breakfast was wonderful - you must have the blueberry pancakes if in season! If you are in Port Clyde the Ocean House is the place to stay. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. We took the 7 AM boat to Monhegan Island so we had to have our breakfast at the Dip Net which was great with a fab view. The view of the setting sun is not to be missed.
