Traveled with four couples, two rooms in the Inn and both cabins. Weather was a bit chilly first night when we were sitting around outside the cabins. As Randy the Innkeeper walked by we jokingly asked where was the fire pit? He returned with a portable fire pit, firewood and starter fluid! This attitude personifies he management philosophy of Otter...

We wanted to be close to Blackwoods Campgrounds where our daughter was staying with friends. And I wanted a quiet retreat to write that was not in the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor.Wifi was available and breakfast was fun. Lunches hadn't started yet since we were there at the very start of the season, but the menu in preparation...

Clean room with nice antiques, conveniently located but away from the Bar Harbor bustle. Bring your own shampoo and hair dryer, though, and if you have T-Mobile, you'll be halfway to Bar Harbor before you get reception. Breakfast is at the Otter Creek Market next door, where you can also get great sandwiches and very reasonably priced lobster you can...

Had an enjoyable stay! Every thing was wonderful classic small town coastal Maine from the market next door where you can get a great cup of coffee & muffin, to a fresh cooked lobster dinner, or even camping gear! Only steps away from the Southridge trail of Cadilac Mt in Acadia Park. The rooms were quaint, clean, and very reasonable......

This was the PERFECT place to stay on Mount Desert Island -- FOR US. We had planned to camp in Blackwoods campground, but it was full, and due to the complication of the trip (with baby), we needed a sure thing. Booked this place on a guess (and some trip advisor reviews). The ranger at the entry station on the...

My husband and I just recently stayed at Otter Creek Inn. We had a great stay. The location is wonderful because it is near the park and easy to get to, but quiet because it is not near any large towns. The Inn was clean and comfortable. There is outdoor furniture if you just want to relax outside. The owners...

This is one place I will definitely return to. The atmosphere was extremely relaxing. Staff was more than friendly, going out of their way to talk to you, joke with u. Our room was above our expectations. We stayed here for part of our honeymoon in 2007.

Go there for the lodging, stay for a lobster dinner. The potato salad is killer! The people in the store really make you feel at home. Every day was like waking up with friends. Cheers to them
