My family decided to stay at the New Oceanic for our vacation just a week ago. We had planned on being there for 3 nights but after the first one we left and found a different hotel. I don't know where to start with the issues we had. First of all the pillows are about 1" think, really non existent...

This is not cookie cutter hotel chain;I.e., Hilton, Marriott or Best Western. It's an old house with classic charm. You are treated with respect, rooms are clean, family run business, pets are accepted, good free Wi-Fi, and plenty of free parking. I stayed 3 days; 2 days in room 9, which was suitable for 1 people and a cat or...

We saw the reviews and wanted to stay here. We are glad we did. Instead of staying in Portland we wanted to be on the beach and in walking distance of things to do. OOB is only 20-30 minutes south of Portland. We stayed in a double Queen room (room#17) on the ground floor. We came here during the Labor...

This was my third year at this place and when initially booked in January 2016. I was contacted via email three months later that the reservation was canceled. There wasn’t any reason as to why it had been. I called and was told that the hotel had closed. Booking.com staff attempted to help me locate another hotel around the same...

I wouldn't label this as a B&B or an Inn. It more like a room in someone's attic. It's not a bad place just very outdated and kind of a mess. We stayed for 3 nights in a 2 room suite. Upon arrival I wanted to finish paying in cash. I couldn't without having the exact amount because they didn't...

The only thing this place has going for it is the proximity to the beach and OOB Pier. The room we stayed in, #6, didn't even have a bathroom, just a draw curtain. If my husband reached his foot far enough it would end up in the toilet. The bed was uncomfortable and it didn't even have any pillows, just...

Pros:  Close proximity to the beach and beach activities. If the following shortfalls are of no concern to you, the price was affordable...not so for me! Cons:  Undergoing much needed renovations - hotel presented many shortfalls, namely: Room; small L-shaped type with attached bathroom with no curtains simply blinders and little available lighting (insufficient to read for any length of...

It is the NEW Oceanic hotel, but it is in such upheaval that it is a disaster. Rooms are tiny, and disheveled looking. There was not air conditioning. Parking is apparently almost non existent. Just not a good feeling at all.

We came with our furbaby and were welcomed. You are right on the beach, The pub plays music late we did not mind it at all. Parking was bad but it always is. The room was clean and the owner was more then accommodating!

Room basically clean, bed sheets a little rough, shampoo and the tiny soap only basics. No hair dryer and was told it would blow out the hotels electricity if I plugged on in. Older buildings in need of maintenance but over all a funky little place for a day or two. Office entrance around side near parking.....which you would not...
