End of the season stop so it wasn’t crowded and the outside of the Hotel looked nice. The studio room w/ a queen Murphy bed, is ‘old’ and ‘funky’ but well attended to by the cleaning staff. Some one reviewed that the A/C unit was moldy and though we didnt need A/C I could see they as old and funky as the room. The entry door to the rooms is a ‘slider’ and it was hard to open /close and hard to lock - a little WD40 would go a long way! Great location to the beach and walking distance to many restaurants

My husband and I stopped here for a night when traveling to Acadia.
Check in / out was really easy and the staff is very kind and friendly.
We had an ocean front room and the view was really nice! For the room itself, the cost was a little pricey.
If it weren’t for the view I don’t think it would have been worth it, so I don’t think I’d stay in one of their rooms if it weren’t ocean front. That being said though, we did stay the Thursday before the Fourth of July, so prices may have been a bit higher.
The room itself was very clean! But a lot of the furniture / ceiling panels were rusted and looking a bit out of shape.
At the end of the day, all minor things and we did have a very nice stay :)

I can’t explain how sick my baby daughter 1yrs old, my son 16year old, and now myself are all sick from our stay from the mold in the A/C unit. I brought it up to the staff and the man could care less just dismissing me without care! Mind you this was our 4 year in a row staying there! I am so disappointed and disgusted that a place charging $300 plus a night would make my whole family sick because they don’t do routine cleaning of there A/C units. Also rooms are awful out of date, mattresses are awful, structure of decks and stairs are unstable! Please think twice before booking a room here!

Family upstairs did not put shower curtain inside the tub.All of the water that on their bathroom floor ran through the ceiling into our bathroom, flooding our bathroom floor. Made for a difficult stay water continued to drip all night. Very inconvenient. With the help of Expedia, we did get a refund for leaving early. We just couldn’t tolerate a wet bathroom that was dripping water.

Response from Daryl Saucier, Owner at Ocean Walk Hotel
Responded Jun 24, 2024
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We deeply regret the inconvenience you experienced during your stay due to the water leak from the bathroom upstairs. It is unfortunate that the actions of other guests impacted your stay so negatively. We apologize for the discomfort it caused. We were able to clean the leak immediately and offered you another room to stay in.

Surprise #1: The beach! I had never been to OOB and was amazed at how large, clean and beautiful it is! Surprise #2: The hotel! I had some foolish trepidations, but figured it was only for 2 nights, warned my elderly parents (with whom my husband and I traveled) that it was not a 5-star hotel, etc... Their unit had a "real" bed, but our Murphy bed unit was comfy and not an issue. Each of our units had "rea" coffeepots (mine had two) in addition to the Keuring ones (we are old: not sure how to work them). Units were clean, kitchen area functional for breakfast, light snacks/meals. Bathroom a bit small, but not an issue. Lounge chairs out fronf for sitting on the beach. Parking across the street was plentiful and not an issue. We plan to return.

Just recently went up for a girls weekend to the ocean walk hotel at OOB. The only good reviews are the fact that it’s right near the ocean, other than that the place is seriously outdated, run down, there are tiny ants in the kitchen, the air conditioner is disgustingly dusty and dirty, the screen door didn’t lock properly, there was a rat, yes a rat running up and down the walkway by side a barrel next to somebody’s door looking for food - at least four people saw it run by their feet, but yet they didn’t do anything about it when told. The Murphy bed is dangerous. It is so hard to put down on the floor it slammed down. Do not sit on the futon, the covering is dirty black. Use a soaped washcloth and see. Don’t forget to check the ac vents. If you have small children the noise outside at night can last until midnight or longer. It may look good on the inside, but it’s not. Would not recommend or stay here again.

Be aware that these are very small studio rooms with a murphy bed. Rooms are old and show signs of wear. The good news is it is on the beach which is very nice for Maine. Clean-- and beach chairs were complimentary. We booked last minute. We would not stay here again

This is our 3rd trip to the Ocean Walk at Old Orchard Beach. This visit was just as good as the past 2, in fact our family is going back next month. The view from the Ocean Front Suite is incredible & this part of the beach is perfect for families. The room was always clean & the staff always pleasant. The grounds of the hotel are also very well kept.

The beach is beautiful and there are lounge chairs available to use. The room was clean and the wan at the front desk was friendly. The Murphy bed is bizarre, but did give extra space when we had friends over. The lights outside are super annoying, as our room was never dark. The vending machine at my money. Would I stay here again? Probably not, but it was okay for a night.

Good evening,
Unfortunately no pets are allowed. And it is clearly mentioned on their website. I am sure you that could find accomodations which admit pets in O.O.B.
