We just finished our 2nd 3 day stay in Ogunquit, the first one 6 years ago, and while, because Ogunquit is such a prized place to stay along the Maine cost, we enjoyed both stays, staying at the Trellis House this second time, made all the difference between a fine stay and a great one. It's hard to park in central Ogunquit, so the positioning of the Trellis House property was perfect for us -- right off the Marginal Way and half way between the main beach on one extreme, and Perkins Cove on the opposite end. We stayed in the Arbor House which is it's own separate, spacious room. The small, but quiet and private grounds provided a place for us to sit at all hours, read or sip our wine and talk. We looked forward to the excellent and varied breakfasts each morning, and the great and plentiful coffee available before breakfasts. For those who are desiring more socializing than we were, there are the Happy Hours at 4:30, and, in any case, both Lawrence and Glen are a delight to interact with as is there incredibly personable dog, Bentley. You won't be disappointed!

From the moment you enter the Trellis House, you know you're in for one of those rare vacation stays where everything is just perfect. We were greeted by Laurence, Glen, and Djata as soon as we arrived. This was our first stay but they made us feel like old friends and were extremely attentive. The entire property is beautifully decorated, from the main living room and extensive porch to the gorgeous rooms and lovely gardens outside. We stayed in the Kennebunkport Room, which was stunning and had every amenity we needed. We're still dreaming about the delicious and creative breakfasts served on the porch each morning as well as the cocktail hour with small bites offered in the afternoon. Bentley, the adorable labradoodle, is the sweetest dog and stayed busy visiting everyone on the porch. The house is just a short walk to the town of Ogunquit, the Marginal Way seaside walk and Perkins Cove with its cute shops and restaurants. Many of the folks staying at the inn were loyal repeat customers and it's easy to see why. We will definitely be back!

Most friendly and accommodating B&B we have stayed at. Your hosts Lawrence and Glen were just the best. Very friendly and made you feel like you were family. The breakfast included with your stay was fantastic. Make sure you don’t miss it. And the manager “D” is just the coolest. Such a delight to meet. Lastly, their labradoodle, Bentley is the frosting on the cake. He was just a joy and can’t help but make you happy. Like the title says, you won’t forget your visit.

Glen, Laurence, Bentley and the rest of the trellis house staff are the epitome of what B&B's should strive to be like. Wonderful location (steps from marginal way), beautiful property and lovely hosts. Glen and Laurence truly host you from the second you arrive to the moment you leave. We stayed in the Kennebunkport room and loved the it. We CANNOT wait to return. The Trellis House is the best!!
