We recently had the pleasure of spending 4 nights in the Veranda Suite at Trellis House. The B and B is not just excellent, it's absolutely perfect. From the most comfortable bedding to the most amazing breakfast, we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Laurence, Glen and their staff made each guest feel like they were the only guest there, including remembering our names from the minute we checked in. The inn was filled with fascinating and often humorous memorabilia and original art. Every little detail of the Trellis Inn showed a thorough understanding of the needs and wishes of guests. The location of Trellis House is exceptional. While being within walking distance to the busy center of Ogunquit, it was on a quiet street flanked with gorgeous flowers and bushes. A beautiful walk led to the Marginal Way, Ogunquit Beach and Perkins Cove. Property's Favorite Review
We chose The Trellis House for our Anniversary three night get-a-way based on location and reviews, both are spot on. The B&B is located very close to the Marginal Way, a short walk to both downtown area and Perkins Cove. Many good restaurants close by (check out the list of favorites on their website for suggestions). Laurence and Glen are both gracious, attentive and friendly hosts. After a few moments, you feel like an old friend. We stayed in the York room, great space with an enclosed porch for extra relaxing space. The porch on the inn, where cocktail hour takes place, was a great spot for reading during the day and conversing with other guests during happy hour! Make sure you try one of Laurence's concoctions, along with tasty appetizers. Breakfast is served at the Blue Shutters Inn, right next door. (Mellissa, the manager, is cheerful and welcoming). Each day a multi-course meal was served. Delicious and filling! As it was our Anniversary, we opted for some of the add-on packages (Bloody Mary and Mimosa). Both were a great way to celebrate. We also ordered the Beach Picnic. This was plentiful and very tasty. Lots of treats to munch on at the beach. The Inn is charming, very welcoming with lovely gardens surrounding front and back. Can't forget to add that Djata is a delightful person and makes sure you are enjoying your stay. From my conversation with her prior to arrival (settings up add on packages) to departure (setting up our next stay) and all the time we were there, she was wonderful to work with. There is Bentley - what a great dog and companion. And let's not forget all the behind the scenes people who worked hard to make our stay so delightful. This may have been our first trip to The Trellis House, but definitely, not the last. We enjoyed ourselves so much that prior to leaving; we booked another trip for fall!!…

What a delightful find! We had the best night’s sleep in our comfortable bed and quiet room! Breakfasts were fabulous! Innkeepers and staff were so very friendly and accommodating! Close to town and the Marginal Way beach walk. We hope to return for another vacation trip!

We could not have picked a more perfect place to celebrate our 57th anniversary. The Trellis House is so beautiful and clean, and the hosts LAURENCE and GLEN are the epitome of nurturing and caring. The York Suite was ideal as it has an added sunroom/sitting room. The king bed was extremely comfortable as well as the high end linens. The breakfasts were elegant and sumptuous. We were treated like royalty. There was no detail missing. DJATA, the manager, is very attentive to the guests. She even surprised us with a cake. She is very helpful. The mascot BENTLEY stole our hearts. A special shout-out to SUSAN for her assistance with our luggage! Could not have had a more memorable stay.

A clean, comfortable, well kept B&B. We've stayed in several rooms over the years and find them all equally prefect. Breakfast is exceptional, Happy Hour drinks exceed expectation's. The Trellis House is centrally located to everything. We parked our car and didn't move it for 3 days. This year we walked the marginal way, hit the beach, went to a play at the playhouse, and a comedy show at the Leavitt theatre - all in walking distance. The thing that separates the Trellis House from other places to stay is that it is the most friendly place you will ever experience.

We’ve been coming to Trellis House every year since 2017. You won’t find a more welcoming, wonderful place to stay. They think of everything and each room is unique and beautifully decorated in various seacoast themes. The staff is always amazing and responsive to each guest. We always book our next visit before leaving :)

The Trellis House is such a special experience! The owners and inn keepers are the nicest team who make the stay so memorable!! Their happy hour is so much fun. Drinks and snacks on the beautiful porch with fellow happy guests. The rooms are exquisitely decorated and SO comfortable! Breakfast’s were delicious! And Bentley, the inn’s pup, is the sweetest, cutest host! We would make this place home if we could and will come back as often as we can. Can’t wait to see Laurence, Glenn, Djata, Melissa, and, of course, Bentley!

In my many years of travel, I cannot recall a nicer bed-and-breakfast property. The owners and staff do their best to go above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The Trellis property, the preferred of the two buildings, is beautifully landscaped and smartly decorated for the benefit of its guests. Breakfast, served in the adjacent Blue Shutters property, was always tasty and beautifully presented. We wished for additional tables for small groups of 3-4 traveling together as all but one are for two persons. We found the fact that there is a gift shop, perhaps a bit over the top, but we loved the late afternoon complementary hors d’oeuvres, and honor bar drinks served on the porch at the main house. It’s essential to book very early, perhaps 8+ months out, as the better located rooms fill quickly.…

For the third year in a row, we had a wonderful stay at the Trellis House. Laurence and Glen were gracious hosts. Djata and Melissa were friendly, helpful and a joy to get to know. We were treated like royalty as were all the guests. We have made this a tradition and will be back again soon.
