My boyfriend and I spent a lovely weekend here a few weeks ago. Everything from our room to the hot breakfast made by Peter every morning made it so easy to relax and do nothing, which is exactly what we wanted! Our room had a lovely double sided fireplace making it very easy to stay in along with the most comfortable king bed i've ever slept on. We purposely chose to go in the off season which made it even more relaxing and quiet. The hot tub was open at our leisure, and we took full advantage! The weather was uncharacteristically 60 degrees to top it off. We're already talking about going back before the crowds takeover! I think we've found our "goto" escape from reality.

Property's Favorite Review
WHAT A GEM!! Scott, the owner, warmly greeted us as we arrived. We had called ahead and told him we would be arriving early so our rooms were ready. Scott, Peter and their friendly and attentive staff were wonderful!! Breakfast each morning was delicious and lots to choose from. One day, we had pork and turkey sausages, hash browns, cinnamon French toast and those fresh-made scones were to die for! The next day we had fresh scrambled eggs with a variety of yummy toppings, corned beef hash and roast beef hash, more hash browns and more scones!! Lots of varieties of coffees, teas, orange juice, cranberry juice and tomato juice, cereals and fresh yogurt with fresh berries and granola to make parfaits. Best breakfast!!!! There was always fresh, cold iced tea and a fresh-made delicious cocktail drink (Sangria one day, Margaritas the next) available on the bar and fresh made cookies every day. Outside of the bar and living room area was a beautiful pool and huge hot tub in a lush garden setting in the back. Very private. Beach towels were available for the pool as well as for the beach down off Ocean Street. They had beach chairs to take to the beach as well as coolers and umbrellas. Our room was lovely. Huge king bed with a couch seating area, Keurig coffee maker, fridge, TV, fireplace and brand new updated bathroom with a large walk-in shower. We loved it here. It was close to town, and we were able to take the trolley for $2 anywhere we wanted to go. If you come to Ogunquit, you MUST stay here!!

Response from maineshore, Owner at Gazebo Inn Ogunquit

Thank you so much for coming with your friends to try the Gazebo Inn Ogunquit this Summer, and taking the time to do such a great review of our Inn. The description of our breakfast should be very helpful for future travelers along with the unique amenities you have pointed out that the Gazebo has to offer for a 14 room Inn. We also appreciate you explaining the proximity to various locations. For these reasons and the fact that this person has taken the time to do 100 reviews I have tagged it as my favorite review. Thank you Scott

We have stayed at the Gazebo Inn many times. Everything is top notch, from the friendly service to the beautiful accomodations. My wife and I especially love the outdoor hot tub that is open yearround. Lots of nice thoughful touches like bathrobes, homemade cookies and scones and complimentary drinks. The breakfast is fantastic! We had steak and eggs with all kinds of other delicious treats to go with it. Ogunquit is our favorite spot and the Gazebo Inn never disappoints.

This was our second trip to Gazebo having stayed at all of their properties. As always Scott, Bruce and Peter were amazing. They helped plan a surprise marriage proposal, providing flowers and champagne in our room. They helped us set up dinner reservations for each night, including Thanksgiving, and always made sure the hot tub was ready for us which we took full advantage of each day and night. Each morning we were greeted with a delicious buffet breakfast and baked goods in the afternoon. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. We overheard a few people saying they forgot their swimsuits. Pro tip: Do NOT forget your bathing suit, the hot tub is one of a kind. We can’t wait until our next stay!

Review collected in partnership with this hotel
With so many rave reviews of the Gazebo Inn, it goes without saying that it tops the list of B&B's in not only Maine, but all of New England. Even though the property itself is truly outstanding, it's the dedicated staff that makes this place truly feel like a home away from home. Scott and Peter work tirelessly to ensure your stay exceeds all expectations, but it's their warm and friendly nature that bring loyal guest back year after year. We have been annual guests here for more than a decade and it truly is the highlight get-away of our year. We have forged many friendships with repeat guests while staying at the Gazebo and we look forward to every opportunity to spend some time here. The ammenities are superb; comfortable beds, luxury linens, insane hot tub, on-site massage services, heavenly steam showers, delicious breakfasts (and the softest towels known to man!). If I won the lottery I would literally live here for the rest of my life!!! One stay at the Gazebo will make you come back time and time again.
