My wife and I have been going to Above Tide Inn for a number of years. It is perfectly situated by the river, when the tide comes in one gets the feeling of being on a ship. It is truly a magical feeling, it is an oasis of calm. It is run by a family along with their son and... More

A very cozy informal inn on the water's edge. Beautiful views of the ocean and river. Rooms are simple and very clean. A wonderful spot to getaway and relax. Easy walk to public beach, shops and restaurants in town.

We had room 1 and it was perfect for a few days, nice owners and we will be back. The view of the water was awesome and enjoying the tide coming in and out was fun. You have your own private table on the deck and it's a nice place to sit after a busy day. We rode bikes every... More

Eight of us stayed at rooms at the above hotel for three nights. Location is fabulous, views look out east to the rising sun. Each of our rooms had its own patio and there was a communal area where we could just hang and chat, and towards sunset we would open a bottle of prosecco and celebrate being there together.... Great place on the water clean and very good accommodations. Family run, owners are very nice and helpful. Close walking distance everything you need. We looked around at the other places in the area, nothing was this close to the water. The rooms are cozy and have all you need. The private balcony with canopy was my favorite. Great place... More

We arrived on Sunday and our room was clean and they were ready for our arrival. Room 7 upstairs and has a balcony with a view morning or night. Our bed a queen was very comfortable. Very quiet surroundings. In the morning they serve coffee and homemade pastry and juice. Nice to bring back to your room and sit outside... More

We stayed in room 6 on the second floor. Had a private balcony with a great view of the river and ocean beyond. Watched the tide come and go each day. Our room had two double beds each in its own room. So we had plenty of space. There was also ample shelf and hanger space for unpacking. Room was... More

If you're looking for a fancy hotel with all the perks, then this is NOT the place for you. But if you want to be right on the water, centrally located, in a cozy room with great hospitality, then this is a true gem! We were lucky to find a vacancy at Above Tide Inn right after Labor Day several... More

We had the most pleasant stay at the Inn. We were there for the month of July and the owners are the best in town. The views are breathtaking and the Inn is so relaxing. Beautiful sunrises from our room and most of the rooms face the ocean. Been staying at the Inn for 21 years and will be back... More

This is our favorite spot each July on our return trip fishing up north. Great location for walkng, being by the water. shopping, and hiking back and forth over the Marginal Way. Owners are wonderful as we have our morning chat over a cup of coffee and yummy homebaked pastry.. The best is feeling like you belong. Can't wait for... More
