I booked a room at Marginal Way House for 2 nights. The room was very comfortable and the property had a nice lawn space with several chairs overlooking Ogunquit Beach and the ocean. Spent some nice relaxing time there. Great location and walkable to a lot of shops and restaurants. Got a great recommendation for dinner on my second night. I’d definitely stay here again.
My husband and I arrived early evening and were looking for a bnb. Stumbled on the Marginal way House. Alan was so helpful and let us see a room. I normally do but like hotels. This is like in a historic house and not like a chain hotel. Our room was large and roomy and had the best bathroom on our rip. Marble walk-in shower. Quality white bedding and pillows. No bad smells either. Nice beach views. Would definitely stay here again.
Every year in late October, we book a stay at an inn while we close up our cottage in Wells. Marginal Way House is a beautiful and updated property. Great central location perfect for walking to the beach and town. We stayed in the main house. Our room was bright, clean, spacious, and had a nice side ocean view. The decor is beachy and the bathroom was great- huge walk in shower. We appreciated the mini fridge. You can hear guests as they go up and down stairs because it is a very old house but we had no trouble sleeping. There is a lovely sitting area by the river for relaxing and also on the porch. The price was reasonable and we would consider staying here again.
We loved our stay at the Marginal Way. We were staying in the main house and had a big suite. The location is excellent and the units beautiful! The staff is really nice and friendly and gave us many good tips for our trip (restaurants, activities...).
The best thing about this property is location location location. The rooms are oceanside quant. Our room had awkward TV placement and (for us) a daybed that was too soft to sit on comfortably. That being said we would stay here again for the location and the shower.
