We have stayed at Juniper Hill more times than I can count over many years. This year was different with Covid, but the same in terms of cleanliness, service, safety and smiling faces! So glad we were able to return to our favorite home away from home!

Hotel's Favorite
For many years we have been staying at Juniper Hill when we visit in September. We currently are exempt from certifying a 14-day quarantine when staying in Maine because of the state we live so we decided to come to Maine in July this year. My husband and I stayed at Juniper Hill and had a great stay. The location is about a 0.5 mile walk to the beach through a trail and neighborhood and even shorter walk to the Village. We walked the beach in the morning and even walked with our chairs, cooler and towels for a beach day. We enjoyed the outdoor pool everyday too. It seems like one is heated and one is not, but I may be wrong. There is an indoor pool, but we didn't use it on this trip. They have taken out some chairs and tables at the outdoor pool, but there were plenty for the number of people using the pool and we could easily distance from others. Jacuzzi was closed because of COVID but frankly I would not have used it to keep physical distance from others. I assume due to COVID the hotel was very quiet, although we have stayed when it was mostly full and it still is a quiet property. Check-in and check-out was safe and quick and the entire property is very clean. They replace towels and take trash everyday and every third day they do a full clean of the room.... they will do it more often upon request. I appreciated this very much and met our needs. All staff were wearing masks, always friendly and we felt very safe during our entire stay. People staying there were also friendly and respectful of physical distancing. We walked to the bakery each morning and then walked back to our room and enjoyed our breakfast, we had two chairs and a table, under our covered balcony in front of our room. We requested a second floor room facing the road/pool. There are quieter rooms in the main hotel which we have stayed in that are lovely, but this trip we decided we wanted the option of sitting on the balcony. We walked to Perkins Cove and the Village for outdoor seated early dinners. It was just what we needed to relax for a few days during this pandemic. Thanks Juniper Hill!

My husband and I went back to Ogunquit Labor Day weekend after being there about a month before, both times staying at the JHI. We stayed there in 2019 too. We have decided that this will be "our hotel" for our annual trip(s) to Ogunquit. The staff is very friendly, the hotel itself and our rooms have been extremely clean and well-kept and very easily accessible as well. With the pandemic still in full-force, we've felt safe and had no issues. You can't beat the location, we arrive and park our car for the entire time, being able to walk across the street for breakfast, walk to the beach and not have to pay for parking (like we used to when staying elsewhere), walk into the village each night for dinner it is very very convenient. I cannot comment on the pool as we are beach-lovers and haven't been in the pool but it looks very nice. Thank you again JHI for a great stay - looking forward to our trip in 2021!

We took one of our annual trips to the Juniper Hill Inn with our two grandsons in mid July. Stayed for 3 nights in room 602 which is a deluxe room with 2 queen beds and right across from the pools. Because of Covid, the breakfast house couldn’t offer any food, just a microwave and coffee maker, we did miss that especially with the boys... But the pools were great, location as usual is great to access downtown and The Ogunquit Beach and the room is so comfortable! We will be back!
