I travel with a friend in a wheelchair. We have been to many many hotels and motels that claim to be wheelchair accessible. This one truly is. The room had every feature anyone could ask for (except a reclining lift chair) that a disabled person could need. And it was so beautiful. The furnishings, the view! there is a restaurant on site that even delivered to the room. We went at the worst time to go, during the Covid pandemic in December. We always felt safe. The rooms were immaculate, the staff helpful and friendly. The ocean view was captivating, and the property leads directly to the famous Marginal Way where you can walk on the ocean’s edge. It was not expensive in December, but the prices are high everywhere in Ogunquit during the season. I wish other lodgings would visit and see what real accessibility looks like. And, for the walker in the party, me, it was just as magical. Truly couldn’t ask for a more lovely time.…
I took advantage of a special offer to Maine residents to splurge on a "staycation" during the coronavirus restrictions, and my husband and I spent an unbelievable evening here. We didn't leave the property, after checking in, because the views are stunning, the room was beautiful, the grounds were amazing. We ordered pizza to be delivered and sat on our private deck, and had a drink on the the beautiful lawn. The staff was respectful, friendly, and helpful. The views of Ogunquit Beach are stunning. Fabulous.
Beachmere is one of our "go to" places when we need a getaway. We stay in the Victorian, in the same room every time. Can't beat the view and atmosphere. The gas fireplace is heaven. Right on Marginal way.
We have been coming to the The Beachmere Inn for over 10 years, and have been able to create beautiful and lasting memories. The last two years, we have been able to share the love we have for the The Beachmere with our daughter, which makes it even more special. The Beachmere is our absolute favorite place. Beautiful rooms and grounds, with exceptional staff. The transition during COVID did not lessen the stellar atmosphere and/or service in the least. They made us feel safe and valued. We keep coming back again, and again, and we cannot wait for our next trip!
This was Trip #36. Trip #1 was our honeymoon in October 1985. We have not missed a year since...well, actually once, but we made up for it by having two visits in one year, one being for our daughter's Sweet 16. So many reasons why we keep coming back. In a nutshell, it's our 'Home Away from Home." Innkeeper Sarah and her Team are the nicest and most accommodating folks we've ever met. (btw, before Sarah, it was her mother Louisa...and our sentiment is the same!) This year the Inn had to make adjustments due to the Pandemic and they did so with grace and style and never straying from their high level of hospitality. Everyone always has time to listen to you and will always make sure your needs are met with a smile. And that's also one of the nice things about Ogunquit...people listen and people smile. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and boast beautiful views of Ogunquit Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. And despite the pandemic, the Housekeeping team kept everything immaculate. That actually was one of the adjustments they had to make...there were not daily visits to the room, but IF YOU NEEDED THEM...THEY WERE THERE!! QUICKLY!! Another great thing about The Beachmere is that we've made friends over the years with other "regulars" from all over - many of whom we keep in contact with throughout the year. I could go on and on, but, hey, if you're traveling to Ogunquit you should definitely give The Beachmere a try. You will not be sorry. Our reservations are already made for Trip #37 in 2021. Maybe we'll see you!…
