An exceptional location, right on the Marginal Way with great ocean views. Very relaxing and convenient. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of our room. I had to wipe down the furniture and lamps which were covered in dust. The window blinds and windowsills were dirty and had dead bugs. Bathroom was sort of clean. There were hairs in the sink and on the dusty baseboards. Not the conditions I am used to from my past B & B experiences. Bob one of the Innkeepers was very friendly. Only saw Andy, the other Innkeeper once. Breakfast was ok, understood the limitations with COVID-19, however the tables were never wiped down and the floor was dirty. Not very appetizing or sanitary. I think the property was in better condition many years ago. This place has a great location but falls short on cleanliness, hospitality and food. No one ever asked how are stay was going or if we needed anything during our stay. I asked to have 2 washcloths and 1 hand towel replaced. I was told , no, that only the full towel set could be replaced. I had to use the bath towel before I could get any replacements which was not very customer friendly.

My husband and I stayed here for our 1 year wedding anniversary and we are so happy we did. Sitting right in the middle of Marginal Way, we were in the perfect location to anywhere we wanted to go (beach, downtown, Perkins Cove). Our room was very clean and had a beautiful view of the gardens and ocean. We were able to enjoy a bottle of wine right on the property overlooking the ocean. Although breakfast was a lot different than it usually is (after reading other reviews) thanks to COVID-19, we enjoyed the wrapped bagels, scones, and muffins, as well as yogurts and fruit. Breakfast was served on the porch and everyone wore masks. We only met Bob and he was a wonderful person to talk with over breakfast. He gave us recommendations on restaurants to go to, etc. We will 100% be back.

Nice place, good location, but overall the negativity of the owners was incredible. One of the owners loudly accused a guest at breakfast of stealing 2 hand towels. She explained that she had only moved the towels to a higher shelf in the bathroom. He responded that he was just in their room cleaning it and they were GONE! It was an inappropriate encounter, very embarrassing, and really odd. There is a lot of anger there. It stays with you, and really spoils the visit.

OK let Me pick this review and I say that loosely apart for You ! LOL First of all Anger They wait for one year to write a review on someone else experience ??? Funny if this was true of Us accusing a Guest of stealing two towels then why didn't that Guest write a bad review ???? Get where I am going with this ? And this person can't even remember the Innkeeper Name ??? We are in our 29th year as Owner/Innkeepers and We know How to treat Our Guests . We have a feeling who this reviewer is a Competitor and this is Not the first time they try to ruin Our Business on TA and This site allows that ? Again This person writing about someone else experience ? I think Not it is getting even because We run a top notch Bed and Breakfast .

Incredible location and views, good breakfast, cozy atmosphere, friendly, comfortable and clean. Great long weekend in Ogunquit. We had a window seat with an endless view over the Atlantic. Saw the sunrise from our bed! And if that wasn't enough, I left my iPad in my room and they found it in a jiffy - sending it home to me this week. Thank you!

All aspects of a visit to Rockmere make it our idea of a memorable vacation. From the innkeepers to the gracious and comfortable home itself, this gem overlooking the ocean has beckoned us each year since 2000. A house is not a home without a canine and the presence of Toni, the resident rescue, underscores that adage!
