I cannot say enough about the Inn and the people who work there. They were a dream to work with! We had a large group stay there this past weekend and have been planning for 8 months. Sue and her team made everything E.A.S.Y. The property was beautiful and you can't beat the view from the deck of the restaurant!... More

Historic charm and great food. Attentive helpful staff. Nice view from the main deck. Make sure you have a meal on the deck. Bathroom in our room in the Inn was small and needs updating. Main entrance is from left to right driving in. 20 min drive to Bar Harbor.

To sum it up; this is like staying at your grandparents house, it looks old and feels dated. We stayed in the Cranberry Lodge, a King Suite on the first floor. This is an old house that has been chopped up into 4 different rooms for rent. Our suite was huge and could easily accommodate our family of 3 plus... More

One of the best views from a hotel anywhere. Watch the boats coming and going in the harbor, set across a beautiful lawn and flower garden, as well as an outdoor pool. Breakfast (buffet) on an outdoor terrace - spectacular! The staff was excellent - friendly accommodating and considerate. The Inn itself exudes old-world charm. But the rooms feel a... More

This is a review of the restaurant not the inn. HOWEVER.... stop by for a meal and be treated to old world style wooden Maine built inn like dinning. View, check, good food, check, service, check, drink menu, check. Did i say view? check, check and yes if that's the only reason you stop...then GO! DJ

We stayed for 2 nights but would have left after the first night if we could have been refunded and found somewhere else to stay. Our stay here began with being given the wrong room key and walking in on someone else's room. Thankfully no one was inside and we could just leave without incident. The room we had reserved... Enjoyed a delicious lunchtime meal on the deck of the Asticou Inn. Lovely grounds with beautiful flower garden. Covered deck for outdoor dining. Enjoyed popovers before our meal - a new experience! Delicious turkey with cranberry Brie sandwich served on a croissant. Very friendly and attentive wait staff!

Tried out the Asticou for afternoon tea and popovers after hearing about the shift of management from JP to here. I'm almost reluctant to write this review because I want this place to stay as lovely as it is, and for us to continue to have such good experiences there. But, alas, I must write this because the Asticou is... More

I visited this restaurant June 2016 with three others. We had a reservation to insure a table. Restaurant is very attractive, offering a lot natural light as the entire back of the restaurant is lined with large windows overlooking Northeast Harbor. Beautiful, New England water view! Menu is excellent. Forget Jordan Pond House - get your popovers here. They are... More

If you want to avoid the crowds in Bar Harbor, Northeast Harbor and Seal Harbor are good alternatives. But there are limited accommodations. Asticou Inn in Northeast has a fabulous location, great view of the harbor, good food and friendly staff. But the rooms and general level of management leave a lot to be desired. It appears there has been... More
