I loved my stay here. It was a wonderful alternative to crowded and noisy Bar Harbor. I had a lovely stay and would come again. Especially loved the back porches with a view of the harbor. I'm only making it a four star because there were so few outlets. I get it, it's an older building. But with two outlets by the beds, which were being used by the lamps and clock, made charging our cell phones difficult. But would 100% stay here again and recommend. Beautiful, quiet, and charming.

We stayed on a weekday in mid-May and it was a good deal for two of us to spend an overnight in the Bar Harbor area at a reduced rate. Lucky for us, we stayed in a room with harbor view with free easy parking in front of our room. The room itself had a carpet which had been freshly cleaned before we were there. Our time there was super quiet and sleep was deep after our driving the Maine Coastal roads all day. It is likely noisy in the mid-summer. It seems much of the lounge area and the small family pool has been re-done and all furniture in the lounge was new. Pool was not ready for prime time yet - too cold. Coffee and continental breakfast was appreciated. There's a restaurant attached and adjacent conveniently next door at which we enjoyed a drink and dinner before it closed at 9 PM on only its second day open under new management.

After driving around the Acadia National Park and visiting Bar Harbor during the day, we went to Northeast Harbor and stayed in Kimball Terrace Inn. This stay took place in the first week of June 2019. The Inn itself was pretty quiet that evening (we saw 3 cars in the parking lot when we arrived in the evening). Again, check-in was surprisingly quick and efficient. After having a brief chat with the man in the reception desk, we went up to our room (# 371). We didn't know what to expect when it came to the room's condition. We didn't have much time to prepare for the trip as we started and finalized our 22 days' trip 3 weeks prior to our departure. We spent hours each evening during this period struggled to decide which area we plan to visit. However, our effort completely paid off when we entered our room. We found our room as if it was a brand new room in a newly built Inn (although it was not a brand new structure). It was flawless, clean and we could even smell the new paint although it didn't bother both of us. Judging from the condition in our room, we immediately could tell that this Inn was really well maintained (one of the best condition room in similar properties I have stayed since the past 35 years). Based on my chat with the guy from the reception desk that evening, I learned that this Inn only operated 5 months during the whole year (they were doing the maintenance works during their off peak season). I believe the owner must have spent/poured in a significant investment to put this property into a condition we stayed that time. Everything in our room, and the bathroom area, appeared to be brand new. Both me and my wife kept wondering if we were lucky to get that room. We really enjoyed our room and our 2 nights' stay in this particular property. The Inn was extremely quiet during our stay (we really loved it). Not too far away from the back of this property, there was a lake where we could enjoy either a morning walk or afternoon stroll. They also have a seating area behind the reception desk where we can sit and relax while enjoying the view. Breakfast in the morning was simple, they served coffee, tea and pastries (donuts/muffins) and again, they were good enough for us to fill up our stomach before doing our activities. Overall, this is another gem in the area and I strongly recommend this beautiful Inn to everyone who is looking for a quality accommodation in their future trips in the area. For this reason, I give them a solid 4 stars' rating.

I normally stay at certain hotel chains because I know what to expect, so I was happily surprised how much our family really liked the hotel, the area, and the adjoining restaurant. We needed a break and wanted to enjoyed a summer weekend and we found that Kimball Terrace would accommodate our two dogs. When entered the room, they were so clean and sanitized that I quickly felt at ease during Covid. Our room was on the ground floor facing out into the harbor and our dogs got to meet some other furry friends. The rates were reasonable. The location was really good because we were close to Acadia and a short drive to other local sites. We would definitely like to go back.
