I love this place! The house is in this cute little town right by the water, a short drive from the Park Loop Road which takes you deep into Acadia. The house is really calm and beautiful and the breakfast muffins are great. The only criticism I would have is the really slow wifi in the house - and unfortunately... More

We have come to this area to hike, swim, bike and eat lobster on 4 different occasions. Each time we have chosen an upscale B & B and have enjoyed them all. This time we decided to stay a few days longer and needed to find a place when we stumbled upon this place. We fell absolutely in love with... More

The Inn is a fantastic place to stay on Mt. Desert Island provided you go in with the proper expectations. It is a 10-15 minute car ride to Acadia Park, and a 20 minute ride to downtown Bar Harbor. However, it is only a 5 minute walk into the little village of Northeast Harbor, where you will find a small... More

We made a last minute trip to Mount Desert. We didn't want to stay in busy Bar Harbor, the inns in Southeast Harbor all has a 2 night minimum. We were very happy to find the Harbourview Inn. Although it was not near the event we were there for, we were extremely satisfied with our choice. The inn in located... More

The Harbourside Inn is contained within a magnificent building in the incredible Acadia National Park. The hosts are welcoming and friendly, and even offer refreshments upon arrival. The rooms are of a decent size: we shared a double room between three, and had plenty of space. The breakfast consisted of delicious freshly baked muffins, fresh fruit and a selection of... More

The Harbourside Inn is the perfect place to stay on MDI, particularly if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. The inn is set up more like a house than a commercial lodging. I stayed in a spacious room on the ground floor, which had its own entrance off a little back porch. Other... More

I love this place! A beautiful, comfortable house situated within walking distance to Main Street. Our room, consisting of a bedroom with a fireplace, a four season room with numerous windows that let in light, and a bathroom. Great hospitality and a wonderful black cat that likes to be loved up. My only complaint was the need for a softer... More

My family and I stayed at the Inn in August 2013. We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The home and setting is lovely for high-energy children and we have two ages 10 and 7. They could run around outside on the property in search of the 3-legged cat. The rooms are spacious and clean and extremely reasonably priced. We booked... More

Harbourside Inn is an awesome Bed and Breakfast, with a great atmosphere, and is very romantic. Its great if you want to relax, and the breakfast was really nice with muffins and fruits in the morning. It was located really near one of the Acadia Park entrances, although a not so close to Bar Harbor, which was the go-to destination... More

Our family of five stayed in Suite 1 and room 4 on the first floor. Our rooms connected via a small back porch. The rooms are large and clean and cheerful. The furniture is a tad rickety and worn. The kitchenette looks to be circa 1960, and we bought a fridge full of breakfast items only to find out in... More
