My husband and I were in town for a wedding in Kennebunkport and greatly enjoyed our stay! The location is perfect for getting to any of the surrounding areas, the price was very reasonable, the food was great and the hosts are wonderful. We would highly recommend staying at the Angel of the Berwicks!

This is a lovingly restored Victorian Manor. Large rooms, stunning architectural details and clean clean clean. The breakfast each morning was delightful and filling. Friendly InnKeepers. What more can you ask for?

We are always flattered when fellow innkeepers choose Angel of the Berwicks for their own vacations. Deborah is obviously a first class innkeeper, but she is also a model guest. Deborah and her husband, Jim, took advantage of so much that southern Maine has to offer--kayaking, bike riding live theater, fine dining, beaches and loads of fun. More

Sally and Ben are near the top of my list of accommodating hosts. Cheerful, interesting, helpful. If you are an early riser and love sunlight streaming into your room, this is the spot. Breakfast delicious, the house is beautifully restored and has an interesting history. Easy access to towns in the area, without being in the center of tourism.

It's always great to be near the top of a list of accommodating hosts. Thank you, sskp, for your kind words. It was such a delight hosting you and your daughter that we really hope you can return so we can share with you more of the inn's history. There's even a ghost story. More

My husband, daughter and I stayed here for one night. The house is lovely and carefully restored to its full Queen Anne beauty. The hosts are warm and friendly and obviously proud of their house. We had a suite with a fold-out bed for our grown-daughter. Everything was clean, fresh, and very comfy. Feather pillows on the beds! Lovely! Our... More

Staying with Ben and Sally in 2011 was magical, our return visit this past week was the same! A few short miles from all of the activity in the Wells/Ogunquit area (which we love!) but such a treat to enjoy a peaceful quiet haven away from the traffic and rush! Charming room, wonderful breakfast every day. Comfortable mattress and no... More

A fantastic stay while visiting Maines southern coastal hotspots.A beautiful large period estate just minutes away from Wells, Kennebunkport, Ogunquit, Kennebunkport, Kittery , York Maine. Ben and Sally Gunn are exquisite hosts and make the best gourmet breakfasts I've ever experienced. The rooms are beautiful, clean and welcoming. What a pleasant surprise! We will certainly stay again and again!

"The best gourmet breakfasts I've ever experienced." Now, that's quite a compliment. Thank you Cindy. It's always gratifying to receive high compliments from fellow Mainers. Since Maine's economy is based largely on tourism, Mainers know what good hospitality really is. More

Ben & Sally were wonderful hosts! Sally makes fantastic breakfast courses that filled me up until dinner. The Manor is a treasure trove of architecture details and charm. Such a lovely B&B with warm and friendly hosts. Ken and Sally are delightful. It's located in the perfect place to break up a trip from Northern Maine going south, or if you want to check out Ogunquit and Perkins Cove, but not pay super high rates. It's only 15 minutes to Ogunquit and the Marginal Way beach walk. Breakfast... More

This reviewer is incredibly perceptive. No, we are not located amidst the tourist turmoil of Route 1. But, if you take the extra 15 minutes to enjoy a scenic drive, you can stay in an incredible Victorian mansion at a rate that is significantly below Route 1 rates. Thank you for your kind words and generous praise. Plus, we are... More
