Hotel Pemaquid offers a separate building for art groups to meet before going out to paint iconic Maine scenes. They offer free coffee and tea in the mornings. The buildings are picturesque but the accommodations are quite ordinary. No meals served here, but good restaurants nearby.

This is the second year we stayed here. We love the covered porch for reading and if it gets chilly, the common areas are cosy and tastefully decorated with antiques. Walk to the Pemaquid Point lighthouse and a friendly restaurant that overlooks the ocean. We will stay again next year.

Beautiful. Clean. Friendly staff. Accommodating. Large rooms with great sitting areas. Short walk to Lighthouse, great restaurant & gift shop, and rugged shoreline which is great for treasure hunting.

I reserved a suite at a price of almost $200 per night and what a disappointment it was. The weather was extremely hot and the room did not have AC. This should have been mentioned at time of booking and it was not. The room was very old with floors that were not level and it felt you were walking... More

My sister-in-law and I stayed here in mid June for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience! We had wanted to spend a day on Monhegan island and found this hotel by researching the Hardy Boat Ferry from New Harbor. The hotel itself is quite old and charming, filled with wonderful antiques. We stayed in one of the annex buildings... More

Nice hotel, older but well kept and clean. We stayed in one of the cottage like buildings, private bath no kitchen. They could use a TV upgrade, a/c..and a wi-fi improvement but we didn't go there to stay in the room. Less than ten minutes to a nice sandy beach, a short walk to a icon lighthouse and very nice... This hotel is well within site of the lighthouse and a short stroll takes you to a relaxing vista watching waves crash on the famed rocky shores of Pemaquid Point. I still cannot understand why Pemaquid Point isn't very crowded, but despite it's beauty it is not. So you can stay in this incredibly relaxing and quiet hotel and enjoy... More

You have to go with an open mind, this place is old, so if you want nice an new, this place is not for you. If you are looking for charm and character, then it will fit. We had no issues with the inn keeper, Cindy was extremely helpful, making sure we got our dinner before coming out to the... More

My wife and I are touring Maine and wanted to see some lighthouses. No better place than Pemaquid. Very scenic coast and lighthouse. Hotel Pemaquid was very dated and we were very disappointed by the welcome or lack of one. The clerk didn't even know where our Suite was located. The decor was very dated and the wallpaper peeling off... More

We were at the inn for a 3 day weekend with our 3 year old grand daughter. On our second day, we were unable to go on an excursion because another guest had parked his car in such a way that at least 7 other cars could not get out of the parking lot. When we spoke to the inn... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Pemaquid offers a step into yesteryear with a relaxing atmosphere that is reminiscent of early twentieth century summering in the area complete with antiques and a restoration of many original hotel features. We are the closest hotel to the Pemaquid Lighthouse, our rooms are offered at reasonable rates, all rooms have flat screen televisions and refrigerators, and there is internet available but service on the point can be spotty. Many of our guests take walks along the rocky coast, eat lots of seafood, and spend time relaxing with a book on our porch. We hope you consider the Hotel Pemaquid when in midcoast Maine. ... more   less
