My husband and I and our moms visited in October. The autumn leaves were just reaching peak color. We stayed in McFarland Cottage, which was just the perfect size for the four of us. We loved the wrap-around porch that hangs over the rocky beach. We spent a great deal of time on the porch soaking in the beautiful views... More

We stayed in the Pilot House and really liked it. we loved sitting on the porch, looking out over the water, in the evenings. the place was clean and neat, but not fancy. Breakfast also wasn't fancy but the blueberry pancakes were yummy. Location was great for taking the Hardy Ferry out to Monhegan Island and for eating at Shaw's.

We rented the Wharf Room, which is a 2 room suite in a separate building overhanging the harbor. Very simple, very clean and as close to the harbor as you can get without getting wet. But be aware, this is a working boat harbor, and the lobstermen fire their boats up at about 4 AM, so if that's going to... More

We were extremely disappointed in the Gosnold Arms, and wish we'd read other reviews on TripAdvisor before booking it. We stayed in 6 other places in Maine and this was by far the worst. And it was one of the most expensive, which is just outrageous. We stayed in one of the cottages on the hill, with children. The room... More

I stayed in the whorf porch and it was beautiful inside the room and it came with a porch with an AWSOME and beautiful view. If there wasn't so much to do n look at around there I would of loved to just stay on the porch and admire the view. The only downside was you could only get wifi... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights for a friend's wedding nearby. The website and brochure make the Gosnold look nicer than it is. We were expecting a quaint, clean cottage. Instead, we got a somewhat dumpy cottage, with uncomfortable bedding, and an ancient bathroom. I understand it's a B&B, and not meant to be a 5-star place,... More

Looking at the hotel from the outside, I thought it would be okay and forgot to ask whether I could see the rooms... That is a mistake I will not make again... We stayed in the main building and our room looked like an old YMCA that needed a financial injection quickly. The contrast between the room and the bay... More

My daughter, grandson and I stayed there July 20 and 21, checking out on the 22nd. What a wonderful place!! We stayed in "CREEL" cabin and were very happy with it; it was clean, comfortable, and either newly decorated or newly built. I had a twin bed and would hope that the mattress gets changed at some point because it... More

Great location, but the whole property is old and musty.Owners need to start to clean it up and spend some money or sell it. It appeared that ownership is bleeding the property. The buffet breakfast is dull.Greasy blueberry pancakes, dry scrambled eggs and what appears to be microwaved bacon that is paper thin nd hardly cooked. There are nicer places to stay in... Great location. Unfortunately, the room and amenities are more representative of an inexpensive motel rather than an inn, let alone a BB. Free breakfast is the only claim to the title of B & B. Cottage room smell was moldy. Internet was on and off and room were bare bone. Checkout time was an early 10:00 a.m. A little rushed,... More
