We spent one night as a getaway for our 20th anniversary. The cabin was more than we needed, but we're thinking of coming back with family. I love that it's set back from the beaten path, but is close enough to be in walking distance of the heart of Naples with all of the restaurants, shops, bars and activities on the lake.

This place was so gross that we stayed about five minutes and turned around and walked out. It was a huge disappointment as we have stayed at the Lakeview Inn in Naples many times and loved it. Yikes...I can not believe they charge $270 for the cabin we rented. It was absolutely disgusting. First of all there was a very unpleasant smell of either bug spray or cleaning fluid upon entry. Secondly the furniture was so old and ratty and mismatched that the appearance was extremely unappealing...I wasn't even willing to sit down on any of it. The porch furniture was very dirty and the bedspreads had a number of visible stains. I pulled back the cover on the queen bed and found the bed unmade...the sheets all rumpled as if someone had just gotten out of it..so that was the final straw...we just bolted. The dining room was pretty odd too...dark and uninviting...so we just couldn't manage to tough it out even though the owners were unwilling to refund our money. We had only reserved the night before and it appeared that no one was staying there...so we just said we would try to do a charge back on our credit card and we left. We had nowhere else to stay and we were picking my daughter up from camp at 8:30 the following morning but we still left and drove an hour to North Conway, NH to a friend's condo and then drove back the next morning! Individually the three of us agreed that the whole experience reminded us of Roald Dahl's short story, "The Landlady". Beware!

My in-laws, both in their 80's stayed at the A-B House last weekend as there was no room for them at our small local cabin. Their three-day stay was extraordinary! The owners looked after these precious guests as if they were their own parents. Both could not say enough about the breakfast and the comfort of their room. Wish I could give more than 5-stars-

We stayed here for a camp visitors day weekend. It is everything you would expect a bed and breakfast to be, charming and cozy! The owners, Carol and Dennis are warm and inviting. The rooms are nicely furnished, clean and the beds are super comfortable. Dennis cooks a delicious breakfast every morning. The location is fabulous and if you are visiting the area I highly recommend you stay here. We booked our rooms in November for July as they fill up fast!
