My wife and I recently took our daughter & her family to visit our son & family in Royal Wooton Bassett. We decided to treat all to Sundaylunch and, not knowing the area, we arrived at The White Horse Inn at around 14:00hrs. We asked and were seated without question for lunch (11 of us). Our meal was beautiful and...

Very poor, disappointed Sunday lunch, when it arrived it was just warm, we found the place quite empty and the restaurant was cold, The fire was not lit, we had pork Sunday dinner the pork was mostly fat, very little meat, the drinks were very expensive, they also had the nerve to charge 10% service charge,we shan't be going back.

We meandered down a country road off the A4 to this pretty looking country pub. Parking was plentiful and the pub was smart; the dining room had good views outside and was well presented. Service was friendly but a bit slow for the main meal. 2 pork, 1 beef and 1 lamb roast was ordered and thoroughly enjoyed. The meats...

Situated off the main roads of the area, this country pub/restaurant/hotel had been recommended by a friend. My wife and I visited the restaurant yesterday and enjoyed an excellent meal. The locally sourced food was both superbly prepared and beautifully presented. The service was efficient and unobtrusive. We shall be back very soon!

This restaurant is located within a beautiful surrounding, with very helpful and lovely staff. But most importantly... The most fantastic food as always. We will be returning here again in the future.

Have eaten in The White Horse Inn on several occasions and every time the food has been exceptional. I have tried the Risotto, Lamb and the Flat Iron Steak - they have all been well cooked, tasty and left me wanting to return. The new management team are welcoming and the landlady is knowledgeable on wines and helpful on advising...

The only reason I can think this is a 4 star hotel is maybe because they leave some complimentary (stale) biscuits and instant coffee in the bedroom. Room needed a lick of paint. Light fixtures didn't work. No toilet paper in the bathroom. Lunch was nice though. Although that too, was overpriced. Cutlery and glass dirty, so had to ask...

A very enjoyable evening meal at the White Horse, we were well looked after by the friendly staff and the menu provided a great selection of tasty dishes. I look forward to going back there again very soon.

Good facilities, clean, quiet and very comfortable. A number of steps to and in bathroom could be a problem, for limited mobility guests. Nice restaurant and good food, but full English breakfast was on the small side and would leave someone with a hearty appetite left feeling hungry.

I ate here this evening with a group of friends. There were originally 10 of us so we were asked to pre-order. Unfortunately people weren't able to attend in the end and there were six of us on the night, five of us eating. We arrived to a warmish welcome and taken through to our table. The food came pretty...
