This is our 7th year spending the summer at Wilderness Edge Campground in Millinocket, ME. That time alone should tell you what a great place this is to stay! I could write sooo much, but will try to focus on what other's are looking for. The park is a well-kept, very clean, friendly, active, and reasonably priced multi-use campground in an area of Maine full of many varied areas of interest. There are tenting sites, RV sites, camper sites, rental tents and rental campers. Even a cabin or two! A place for everyone! From fishing to white-water rafting, and everything in between, you can do it here. Wendi and Marcel who own WEC, are more than willing to try and accommodate your every need, and they themselves offer moose tours, ATV rides, and much much more. WEC is pet friendly! There is a nice playground for children, a beautiful pool, horseshoes, and any number of activities going on. The staff works very hard to make sure shower/bathroom facilities are kept spotlessly clean. There is a laundromat, too!! We love it here. We have a beautiful, private lot surrounded by the wonder of nature. Maine...The Way Life Should Be.

We have spent three summer vacations at Wilderness Edge. Wendi and Marcel were great hosts. The bathrooms and laundry were immaculate! We stayed in several sites but our favorite was backed up to bath house. Plenty of room for our fifth wheel and two vehicles. We also enjoyed a pig roast while staying there. Great fun! Millinocket was the perfect location for us as my husband was hiking the AT. Sawmill Grill just down the road was our favorite local restaurant. The town of Millinocket is small but we loved the hometown feel and it had everything you needed including a great grocery store. We hope to return again soon.

My first camping trip was at WNECG we LOVED it. Marcel (owner) is very knowledgeable. We went ATVing and on a Mouse excursion. We even seen a mouse!! We also went to see the abandoned logging trains! Now that was cool and worth the hike! Marcel was very friendly even slowed his pace down for me as I’m not too sure footed!! We stayed in a camper, it was very clean as was the bathrooms and showers. They always have wood on supply. The pool was very clean. We didn’t use it but we did sit by it. Thank You WNECG for making my first camping trip so very enjoyable!!! We will be back! Melissa Risch

The camp is not ran well. Bad service, people skills, my friend wrecked their car beacuse their roads are really unkept and extremely rocky. We were told this has happened to multiple cars and the owners didn’t care and didn’t offer us any help, as we were from Canada and needed advise and help. Instead they demanded we had the car out that night beacuse it was “in the way” but it was on the side of the road and we didn’t have any way of moving it. That was just one bad experience of many we we had there. Not good pricing at all, way over priced as they charge per person a very expensive rate. I highly recommend that you don’t book your stay here.

NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE TRUTH SARA What you failed to say is that you arrived in 2 vehicles very late at night ( after midnight ) and never bothered to check-in. Never called the phone # on the office door to get instructions or let us know you were on the property. After getting lost driving around in the dark, your friend drove off the road trying to turn around. It was then that 2 different campground host found you because of the noise you were making trying to move the car. I was called to the location and told you that you could leave the car there for the night and we would help you in the morning. That morning your friend came to the office and we let him use the phone to call a tow truck and recommend where he could take the car. Our campground host drove him to a local garage after he had the car towed there and waited with him while they looked at it. We tried to help with other ways of getting you back on the road and helped with rides to the store while to camped and went hiking for 2 more days. Your friend decided that the car was not worth fixing, and did not want it towed back to Canada so he tried to get me to buy it from him for $600, which I refused. I am not even going to address your review of our prices because your lack of telling the truth 5 months after this occurred is of not note worthy. You had a bad weekend and you are trying to take it out on us.
