No, this isn't the place to come if you are looking for trendy decor, full amenities, keyless entry or a hot tub. However, it was perfect for our nights before and after hiking Katahdin. Basic, clean accommodations - a mini fridge in one BR and a microwave in the other. The grocery store is very convenient for purchasing food supplies... More

We stayed before and after our climb on Mount Katahdin. The rates were reasonable, and the location provides convenient access to both town and the access road to Baxter State Park. There is a Hannaford's market just down the main road, so you can stock up on whatever you need. The cabins themselves were just what we needed, nothing more... More

In April, our family of 4 booked a 2-room cabin for the July 4th week-end. While the proprietor was nice on the phone, it took me several attempts to receive a confirmation that we were booked; that should have been a clue. When we arrived on our confirmed date, tired after a long travel day, Surprise! - they could not... More

This place is exactly what we hoped for after a day of hiking, being an inexpensive, clean cabin to rest and recuperate. It does not have many frills, but who needs them? Sleep well and enjoy muffins!

Clean and perfect for our needs. A little pricey for what it is. Owner was very friendly on the phone. I grew up here and it was nice to see someone running these little cabins. They are close to everthing and allowed us to have our dog.

My husband and I and our adult son came to the area to climb Mt. Katahdin, and this place was the perfect base to come back to each night for three nights. Comfortable, compact, clean, with 2 rooms for us to have our own space. A most delicious home-baked treat was waiting for us each night! The owners were relaxed... More

Our family of four needed a place to simply spend the night before a very early start to our white water rafting excursion and this simple cabin worked just fine. As described, they are rustic and simple so if you're looking for plush amenities and five star lodging, this won't be your cup of tea. We found them clean, quiet,... More

My husband and I recently stayed at Katahdin Cabins. The owners were vey kind and accommodating. The cabin was clean and the beds comfortable. We arrived to the cabins when the owners were away, the key was in the door and the heat was going. Thanks for the nice muffins. They were yummy.

My husband and I were in town for a snowmobiling trip. The cabin was warm, comfy and spacious! Owner was very friendly and helpful. Bakery there was an added bonus too with fresh homemade cookies for us and great rolls and turnovers.

When we arrived, we had some nice home made deserts! The rooms were basic but very clean. Super comfy beds. Even with the cold outside, the heaters worked perfectly. More than enough hot water in the showers for the 3 of us! The owner was very welcoming, he gave us lots of advices for the climb of Mt Katahdin and... More
