First and foremost- the hosts here are wonderful, knowledgable, warm and friendly. The food is fabulous. The location is divine. The rooms are very comfortable. The exact room we wanted to rent was unavailable (Eagle's Nest) when we were visiting, but they gave us a good deal on 2 rooms in the Lodge, and we were very pleased. Got any... More

INNKEEPER’S FAVORITE REVIEW
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2015 via mobile

Debbie and Rick run a wonderful small bed and breakfast that has breathtaking views of Mt. katahdin from every room. They cook made to order breakfasts with plentiful coffee. There are canoes and kayaks right out the door. You can be on the lake in 30 seconds. We will be back!

This all started with wanting to do a little hiking on the Appalachian Trail and we wanted to go to Bar Harbor and Quebec. So I couldn't wait to tell my traveling companion that I know the perfect place to stay in Millinocket, ME. It was wonderful to be back after 8 years. In 2008, my husband and I stayed... More

The Eagle's Nest was a nice place for a family to relax after having enjoyed some hard miles on the mountain. The lake was as good as a beach on an ocean as far as I am concerned. The view of the mountains and lakes in the area was to die for. The variety of canoes and kayaks were good... More

Stayed in Ambajejus. Comfy room with beautiful views of Mount Katahdin. Absolutely delicious breakfasts. Rick and Debbie were extremely hospitable. We brought our 7 month old daughter with us, and Debbie offered to hold her for us while we ate breakfast. Also, Rick was a wealth of information about the hiking in the area, and he helped us find some... More

5 Lakes Lodge is absolutely fantastic and I cannot give enough praise to the hosts!! The views were undeniably gorgeous and the fact that I could see it from my bedroom window was even better! We slept with the windows open because I didn't want to miss a second of the view! We utilized the free canoes and got out... More

What a fabulous stay we had at 5 Lakes Lodge! The inn was immaculate and perfectly situated to enjoy the beauty of South Twin Lake and a perfect view of Katahdin. Debbie's daily breakfast extravaganza was a treat and she went out of her way to accommodate a family food allergy. Rick's knowledge of the area lead us to remote... More

If you like to adventure in the Maine woods, this is the place to stay. There is so much more than Baxter —beautiful as the park is. I like a meandering hike, with camera in hand. From 5 Lakes Lodge you can explore the Nahmakanta Lake area, Pollywog falls, Jo-Mary forest area with its numberless lakes and ponds. The owners... More

I can't say enough about what a wonderful stay we had at the Five Lakes Lodge. The views are amazing. I could sit in the glider looking out over the lake for hours. The breakfasts were made to order and delicious. The owners gave great recommendations for hiking and local restaurants and where to go to see moose. We were... More

The friendly owners/operators designed and built this beautiful bed-and-breakfast with gorgeous views, great amenities, and provide the best homemade breakfast in Maine. A little off the beaten path, the 5 Lakes Lodge gives you a true rural Maine experience.
