Nice views overlooking the tidal river, but none of the unpleasant smells that sometimes come with tidal flats. It's quiet here. The rooms are up one flight of stairs. We had a large room, with modern bathroom fixtures. We met one of the owners and she was quite pleasant. One minor problem -- the TV controls are so complex I... More

It was so nice to meet you too. David and I were just discussing yesterday the fact that the flats rarely smell, which is so nice when you sleep with the windows open!! Since we opened the farm 12 years ago we have hemmed and hawed about having TVs in the rooms or have one in the big room downstairs.... More

We didn't expected to find a nicely decorated place up in the north of Maine. But this Inn is a true find. It is beautifully located at the river and the rooms are spacious and nicely and stylish decorated. We had a perfect stay in Drew's room. You can have a delicious breakfast in the nearby Helen's restaurant which is... More

What an oasis in Downeast Maine. We have visited many times over the years and each time is better than the last. David and Julie are magnificent hosts. The location on the beautiful Machias River is spectacular. Sitting out on the adirondack chairs at night looking up at the Milky Way is something to behold. Do yourself a favor and... More

Great location and great hosts. You can't do better than this in Maine. My girlfriend and thought this place is truly a find. I think anyone wishing to visit Maine needs to stay here. I could not have been any happier. We plan to spend another vacation there.

Since this was a work-related stay I did not have time to enjoy a hike along the river - the views are stunning and sunrise was worth the early wake up. The bathroom was new and well done in a nice farmhouse lodging. A mini fridge, microwave, and coffee, tea making included - There is no breakfast but plenty of... More

This is a good place to stay if you are visiting the Roosevelt home in New Brunswick. Canada. The inn keepers are lovely. The only drawback is all the rooms(3) are upstairs. The views are gorgeous and hiking in the area is great. Good place for visiting areas around.

On our motorcycle ride this was our first stop toward our destination of Prince Edward Island. This Inn sits on a beautiful knoll overlooking the river with a recreation trail just below. The Inn was charming and the accomodation was perfect for our first night on the road. Clean and comfortable but we missed out on the morning muffins as... More

this B&B was a charming place with fantastic water views. The accomadations were clean, attractive and very comfortable. Spent a night with four friends traveling and we took all three rooms. We were all very happy.

The owners are friendly as one can ask for. The rooms are adorable, perfect kick back to an old renovated farm house. We were in Maine to ride trails on our atv. The farm sits riding distance to the down east trail. One can ride, walk, bike these trails till there heart is content. We hope to return in the... More

We really liked location of the the inn and our accommodations, but it is the first inn that we stayed where breakfast was not included. We would have gladly paid extra, but there was nothing offered. We had to go to a Dunkin' Donuts down the road. There is a nice hiking/biking trail very close by.

Thank you so much for your recent review of your stay at the farm. It is vital to understand all our guests questions and expectations. While we prefer to enjoy a discussion with you about what my have been misunderstood we understand the possible awkwardness that creates. The farm is an inn not a bed and breakfast. Before the fire... More
