Beautiful house, spectacular view and amazing host! A must stay B&B!!!!
The Victorian by Sea is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy in the Camden area. Caroline is a very kind hostess. She really keeps the property so beautiful and makes an amazing breakfast. We met a bunch of amazing couples who were awesome to hang out and talk with. We will definitely be back again and would recommend going here as well. Thanks for an amazing experience. We felt really spoiled by our host Caroline. She took care of us from the start. Caroline tried to accommodate all our needs and exceeded our expectations She is a great host who is obviously very proud of her magnificent property. . We left the Victorian renewed, rested, and happy. We hope to come back someday. ,

Hands down this is the place to stay!
Peaceful, quiet, restful and an elegance of time past. The host, Caroline, could not have been more accommodating. She made sure every guest was comfortable and had everything they needed to have a most pleasant stay. The room we stayed in was a comfortable ensuite. The common rooms were charming and filled with literature about the area as well as books. The wrap around veranda had comfortable bistro tables and wicker chairs for enjoying a meal while looking out at the sea and islands. Caroline is a great cook and breakfasts were nourishing, interesting and delicious. We will be returning to this lovely home.

    Wonderful experience
We stayed at this lovely bed and breakfast for one night on our way to Bar Harbor. The accommodations were spotless and very comfortable. Caroline was a warm and welcoming hostess and her homemade breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Would definitely recommend staying at Victorian by the Sea.

This is a wonderful B&B set in a picturesque area just a few minutes drive from Camden. The property is very well maintained both inside and out, is clean and the host Caroline is very friendly and goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable. She even offered to make my dinner reservation. We only wish we had more time to soak in all the property had to offer.

If you are open to the possibility of falling in love...with each other, a place, an innkeeper...then Caroline Cole and her Victorian by the Sea presents an excellent opportunity. This place is simply enchanting. Our family has traveled all over the world and this is our, hands down, favorite Bed & Breakfast/boutique spot. We are repeat guests and we love our stays in "The Cottage". It is everything we'd need or want. There is enough space for everyone. We can cook if we want yet still have access to the lovely house. The Cottage has a private little garden and a small porch just for those guests. This trip we had the joy of rocking on the porch while the rain came down. Then there is the wrap around porch of the main house! Whether it's a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine, sitting on the porch looking out over the gardens and Penobscot Bay is amazing. Caroline has soft classical music playing in the background toward the dinner hour and into the evening. You can soak up the atmosphere, listen to a small waterfall flowing into a little brook just off the parking area, hear the birds and smell the sea air. The overall vibe is peaceful and serene. Caroline has excellent taste in decor and gives much attention to details. You will see and taste local ingredients or goods (e.g., the small balsamic vinaigrette from a local artisan in the Cottage kitchen upon arrival). She is an excellent baker too! The gardens are beautiful, with lovely hanging baskets and potted plants everywhere around the porch. Caroline has a friendly warmth and exudes care for her guests' experience. She has lovely recommendations for things to do and will stop for an interesting conversation, making each of us feel valued and important to her. If you are coming to Maine, do yourself a favor and experience Victorian by the Sea. Come....fall in love.

A beautiful home in an idyllic setting. Everything was immaculate with thoughtful touches. Caroline, the owner-innkeeper, is a wonderful conversationalist and is truly knowledgeable and helpful about all the resources in the area. Her breakfasts are delicious! The other guests during the three days we were there were a pleasure to meet and get to know. Highly recommended!

I was looking to get away from it all and I found that experience here. A safe, comfy, and beautiful home that enables you to truly disconnect from all the busy-ness and reconnect to what’s important. Breakfasts are incredible and set you up for fantastic days. Caroline is so helpful in selecting rooms and views! Covid protocols are in place to make everyone feel so safe.

Stayed one night at this home. Caroline was very welcoming and the atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming. Lots of books to read through including many on Maine history, lighthouses, and local attractions. Breakfast was exceptional! We had breakfast on the porch overlooking the water....we never wanted to leave. Thank you Caroline for a great weekend.

We were greeted to an amazing smell of Baking when we arrived and this set the tone for our entire stay. Caroline (the owner) was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A very relaxing place to stay.
