We really enjoyed our stay here! We came the last week in May for our honeymoon. We stayed in the pool house suite. The room was spacious, clean, the bed was very comfortable and the balcony had a great water view. We enjoyed the quietness and peacefulness on the property, the lounge chairs by the water and pool, and the fires at the pool house. The Inn was not packed with people (and few kids) which we really enjoyed. The breakfast every morning was delicious and a big portion, and they served loved local coffee. We enjoyed sitting on the deck for breakfast with the beautiful view. We also got massages, and they were great. The staff was wonderful - welcoming and polite. We had no complaints while we were they, everything was great!

Spoiler alert: it will be better than you possibly could have imagined. The website doesn’t do this amazing place justice. The inn is situated in a stunning and serene setting on West Penobscot Bay. The rooms are large and comfortable with fireplaces. The a-la-carte breakfast offers something delicious for everyone. The staff are friendly and accommodating, they did some serious juggling to help us secure another night’s stay. The infinity pool, hot tub and pool house with sauna are to die for. Upon arriving here we were welcomed with a warm hello and cookies and coffee/tea. We knew within 5 minutes that we’d want to stay longer. There are no drawbacks to this place, it was a truly wonderful experience and we’ll be back for sure.

Response from Mark Phillips, General Manager at The Inn at Ocean's Edge
Responded Jul 13, 2021
Dear Nina D, Thank you for the amazing review of the Inn. We agree that photos don't always capture or convey the natural beauty, stunning views and serenity. Our breakfast choices are varied, and there is "something delicious" for everyone. Thank you for appreciating the team's efforts to help make an additional night stay possible for your family. You are correct that we are constantly juggling to accommodate guest requests, especially this unusually busy season. It is a tribute to our team that you knew in minutes that this was a special place and that you wanted to stay longer. Most importantly, we are thrilled that your experience was memorable and that you will return. Hopefully, we will see you next season. Regards, Mark Phillips General Manager

We stayed here almost 10 years ago and we're not disappointed during our return visit. Great location, beautiful grounds, clean rooms, friendly staff and literally perched at the top of a hill with gorgeous ocean views! While it was too chilly to use the infinity pool, it's one of the coolest pools you'll ever see. Great breakfasts too!

The Inn at Ocean’s Edge was a fabulous girlfriend getaway. The room was very clean, bedding was fluffy and comfortable. We had chilled wine as an add on to enhance our stay. The bathroom was fantastic with wonderful bath toiletries. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions for places to locally eat and explore. The breakfast was delicious and far exceeded our expectations. Waitstaff was attentive and friendly.

The hotel, amenities and surrounding property are all amazing. We stayed in the Main Inn with an ocean view, and the room was really nice. The Hilltop building was a bit far from the pool/spa for us, but has walk-out balconies and more elevated ocean views. The pool area is as class as they come. There's also a nice little path down to the ocean. Top notch resort in this part of Maine.

The Inn at Ocean’s Edge was just what we were looking for - inviting, beautiful and very comfortable! Our room was exactly as it was depicted on the website. Our room was spacious, the views from the hilltop building were great (Room 10), and the patio was perfect to watch the sunrise and night sky. The breakfast were delicious - the omelets and apricot almond scones were a bit hit. We really enjoyed exploring nearby Camden and enjoyed the drive to Acadia for our National Park exploration. After walking around Bar Harbor a bit, we were really glad we were spending more time in Camden. Bar Harbor was crowded with tour busses; Camden had a more chill feel with more breathing room. Thanks to the team at Ocean’s Edge! We enjoyed our anniversary get away in Maine!

Dear 4journey, Wow, thank you for the outstanding review and letting us know that we helped create a memorable anniversary getaway. Your experience at the Inn is important to us. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the inviting atmosphere, beautiful landscape and ocean views. Camden is a quaint, charming Maine town on a stunning harbor. It has excellent restaurants, outdoor activities and shopping without the "touristy" feel that you noticed in Bar Harbor. Please note that your independent voice is so crucial to our future guests who are considering a stay at the Inn. They genuinely rely on your experience and opinions. We hope that you will have another opportunity to visit. Regards, Mark Phillips General Manager.

If I could give this amazing experience a 10 I would. We called the day of arrival, and they didn't have the ocean view suite, we requested, which was ok. Upon entering the property, we were treated with nothing less than love and respect. Lisa greeted us with a pleasant contagious smile. Even offered to have our luggage carried into our room. After she showed us the property we got settled in. As we were headed to breakfast, the next day, Lisa explained that she had a surprise for me. There was a cancellation for the ocean view room, and that made me feel so joyful. She accommodated my spouse and I with moving into our beautiful room. The property is amazing. With the ocean, overflowing pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. Shout out to leezy and the whole staff just for preparing the best breakfast. The French was to die for. Also the guest was just as pleasurable, since my spouse and I are of color. That didn't matter, everyone was family. Shout out to the general manager, he was very laid back, but professional. Also the nightshift clerk, was also respectful and made sure we were comfortable. We were treated like royalty. I recommend this place ‼️💯. It's a home away from home, with plenty to do. We will be back next year, staying in the pool house (Lisa)😘. Oh yes, this is the place to be, however this is for the GM- the New England Patriots are still not liked😉😁. Let's go cowboys 🙂. And colts🙄( that's my spouse's team). I really enjoyed my stay. Y'all go check them out 🤞🏽.. Mcclams

We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Inn at Ocean's Edge and can't wait to go back. We loved everything from the minute we arrived. The staff were wonderful and friendly. The room was clean and very well appointed. The complimentary breakfast was delicious with made to order omelettes and blueberry pancakes. And, the property itself had adirondack chairs overlooking the water and several sitting rooms. The infinity pool is fabulous. This is a true gem on the mid coast.

Exceeded our expectations. Requests were met quickly and thoroughly. Rooms were beyond spacious and beautiful, not to forget the fabulous view. Breakfast featured local produce, very fresh and tasty. Box lunches are available and of very excellent quality. Highly recommend booking a massage, which the front desk will manage for you. A variety of lawn chairs by the ocean are perfect for lounging the day away. It was hard to leave and we plan to return next summer. BRAVO for a job well done!
