Wow - where to begin. Absolutely beautiful Inn and gorgeous location. Such a calming location. So beautiful right at the water's edge. They have a massage & spa services. Breakfast is included. You order from a menu. There is the main building, one that sits up a hill from the main building, and one called the Poolhouse. It has 2 rooms. I'm sure all rooms are lovely, but my review is on one of the Poolhouse rooms. They are beautiful. They're not just a room. There's a large entrance room with a bulit-in cabinet and counter that has a microwave, coffee maker, small refrigerator. A walk-in closet off the entrance and entrance to the bathroom. Then you walk into the huge bedroom with a sitting area in front of a fireplace, large jacuzzi tub tucked away in it's own area. There's a balcony overlooking the pool and out to the bay. In the morning we watched a flock of wild turkeys walking through the property close to the shoreline. This is THE place to stay when in the Camden area. It's just a few minutes from town. Can't say enough about it.

We stayed at the Inn two nights making our way up the coast to Bar Harbor. Our room was in The Hilltop on the first floor. The Hilltop offers a sweeping view of Penobscot Bay even from the first floor. The room and bathroom with walk-in shower were much larger than your typical hotel room. It was nicely appointed, walls were a soft blue with crown molding and a lovely gas fireplace. No tacky holiday inn pictures adorning the walls. Breakfast is served in the Main building in a bright dining area with views of the water. No buffet style here. The price includes breakfast with omelettes and eggs prepared to your liking. Who can say no to cream cheese pumpkin cupcakes? Our server was attentive and pleasant. There is no elevator in The Hilltop so something to consider if you have issues with stairs. Our only complaint is that the beds were pretty soft and not the most comfortable for our liking. The Inn is only a few miles outside of picturesque Camden. There are many lodging options in the area but if you can afford to treat yourself and want to feel pampered this is a lovely Inn with a beautiful view and grounds.

From check-in to check-out, we had a wonderful experience. The location close to hiking, water adventures and biking opportunities combined with the gorgeous setting was perfect for us. We took advantage of the pool (unheated works for us), the bathhouse with towels, the sauna and the shower, The hearty breakfast was appreciated.

We loved our brief stay at The Inn At Ocean’s Edge. On a scale of one to ten, I’d definitely say a ten! I’ll start with the room. It was bright and clean and welcoming. We loved the fireplace. The beds were very comfortable; we liked the variety of pillows on the beds too. The heater in the bathroom was a treat. And we really appreciated the waters in the fridge that were stocked daily. Oh, and how wonderful to have robes available! The grounds and landscaping were lovely. Even though we enjoyed them in the rain the whole time we were there, we appreciated the thoughtfulness and color variety put into the lawns and flowerbeds. Speaking of the rain, we were happy to use the umbrellas that were provided at Hill Top! The breakfast was ample and delicious. It was very pleasant to enjoy breakfast by a window in the dining room. We’re still talking about the yummy bacon and sausage! Hubby made daily afternoon trips to the main building to get fresh baked cookies! Now on to the staff: David greeted us on our arrival and gave us a friendly and helpful tour. Liz and Tony, breakfast servers, were delightful and eager to be helpful. Meagan helped us immensely when we had to check out early (due to Hurricane Lee). She printed directions for us from the inn to the Bangor airport since we’re a tad technology challenged on our phones! She was very professional and friendly. We are looking forward to another visit to The Inn At Ocean's Edge.

We really loved it here. The bay view is simply amazing. Even though we had a day of fog, when it cleared up we appreciated the view even more. The room was incredibly luxurious with its high quality linens, super comfortable king bed. The Inn & room were both spotless, Their well maintained grounds with flowers & shaded area to sit & soak up the water views were just great. They have a very lovely staff. The fresh daily breakfast was a hit & we loved & appreciated the baked goods & tea, coffee & best fruit infused water Around the clock ! (All I’d suggest is an extra blanket in the room & hairdryer- or a notice of where we could get these items.) What were the make of those soft sheets? Because I want to buy them. Thanks so much

Good morning loriswigsite, Thank you for the glowing review of our property and staff. Many of us have been here for several years and strive each day to provide a memorable stay. Typically there is an extra blanket in the closet and a hair dryer under bathroom vanity; sorry it was not there. The linens are Magnificent by 1888 Mills; we get them from Boston Textile. We look forward to seeing you again. Have a nice day, Mark Phillips General Manager

The Inn actually is not at the Ocean's edge. Yes, there's nothing between the hotel and the ocean but the buildings are far from the water. This gives guests fantastic views but no actual access either to the water or a trail next to it. The only way to get down to the water (via stairs) is broken (we were told it will be repaired by 2024). But it's worth noting that the stony bottom makes it unappealing anyway. The nearby sandy beach (in Lincolnville) is small and narrow, right next to a parking lot, unappealing to say the least. So you can't walk by the water; in fact, you have to drive to find a spot to walk. We were told we could walk to good coffee. Well, yes, if you feel comfortable walking on a fast moving highway (Route 1 which has only a very narrow shoulder). We came with images of watching (and hearing) the waves from our room and walking by the water. Forget it. The rooms themselves are huge, very clean, well equipped but characterless. Beds are ridiculously high, with huge boxsprings that are quite unnecessary. Positives: There is a very beautiful infinity pool below the main building. It is freezing however, not even covered at night which made it completely unusable for us. The hot tub was appealing but jammed with people so we never used it. Please do note that getting from it to most of the hotels rooms (described as the "best" by the management) requires a hike uphill. We are athletic, not old :) but didn't love that. There are good outlets, good shower, and incredibly noisy a/c in the room. We turned it off and dealt with stuffiness. The cooked breakfast (included) is very good and varied.

This was our second stay at the Inn. The property is spectacular, the hill provides a relaxing environment away from the hustle and bustle of Camden. Two pieces of constructive criticism: 1. the kitchen ran out of several items during breakfast on the two nights of our stay, it’s too $$ of a place to run out of breakfast. 2. And if you decide to stay at this beautiful place, DO NOT stay in ROOM C4 (top floor of Main Inn). The property prides themselves in creating a peaceful environment so much so you have to “sign off” on their “rules”. Room C4 is above the kitchen-they begin cooking around 6am and it gets VERY loud. This room also smells like breakfast for several hours. If you are looking to relax in the morning this is not the room for you! Stay away from room C4
