Where do I begin, The Glenmoor is amazing from the views to the comfortable beds to the incredible breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful. Location is great for relaxing or exploring some great hiking trails. Just 5 minutes from downtown Camden where you can dine on the water or just walk around and enjoy the local shops. Plus very dog friendly!
I LOVED this place! The reservations and check in was super easy. The grounds are meticulous and then we made our way down to the cottage by the waterfront (#28). WOW. Everything I imagined....only way better. The views are spectacular, bed and cottage was clean and welcoming and cozy. The bed is very comfortable and the unit is equipped with a small frig and coffee. We loved hanging out on the front deck watching the water. I awoke early to catch the INCREDIBLE sunrise (worth it!). Breakfast was fantastic - fresh blueberry scone, yogurt, an individual quiche, fruit, coffee and juice. Great value, great place, Great people. They also have wine available for purchase (very reasonable) should you want to have a nice glass for your evening on the deck.
Spent 2 nights at the end of the season visiting family in Camden, Maine, a 10 minute ride. This was also during the plague which effected things. This is a motel/cottage/house family resort located on a large wooded plot of land on the coast where you can walk down to the shore line. There are a few cottages there at the shore line, whereas the other accommodations are nearer the entry of the property. The property is on U.S. Route 1 and yet very quiet. It is very picturesque. There are large open spaces with some lawn games, novelty playsets for children and an outdoor pool. Service was light as they were keeping staff away from guests as much as possible. Normally a breakfast buffet is provided but during plague times they provide a boxed breakfast at the door. It was delivered when specified and surprisingly good. Our suite was in good repair and the beds were very good. In the main room was a chaise lounge which while looking exotic, was incredibly uncomfortable and was the only seating for that room's TV (note to management - ditch the lounge and bring in 2 side chairs) I recommend staying here or at least giving it a good hard look.…
It is a very pleasant place to stay. The cabins are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and delivered promptly to the room. We witnessed one of the most spectacular sunrises that is imaginable.
I wish we would have booked this nice place for our entire stay near Camden. The breakfast delivered to our room was very special and the views incredible with a small walk to the beach. The rooms were very clean
My wife and I were really delighted by Glenmoor by the Sea, which had been recommended to us by a friend. Spacious, well-appointed individual cottages in a quiet setting near the water, coupled with great service and breakfasts (delivered to your door). We were tempted to stay longer but had made other reservations. I highly recommend this place!
We wished we had more time here! Our large cabin was immaculately clean and had a very pretty view of the bay. Watching the big full moon come up in the evenings and hearing the lapping of the water on the beach was a calming way to unwind. The grounds are very well kept, pride of ownership is evident and the amenities like fire-pits and disc golf are thoughtful. And breakfast.... yummy indeed! Kudos for figuring out a great way to serve guests at this crazy time and not just give it up like so many hotels. I looked forward to the knock on the door and anxiously opened the contents of the basket. Each day there was a different variety of egg frittata and muffins along with juice, fresh fruit and a carafe of really good coffee. And we got to enjoy it all overlooking the bay. Thanks for a great stay; it was just what we needed!…
This resort met all our needs and we were glad we chose it, as it was slightly north of the craziness in downtown Camden and was in a peaceful location. We enjoyed relaxing on the waterfront deck and watching the boat traffic in the straight between Lincolnville and Isleboro, We had a king room on the second floor of the Main House with a nice large bathroom. There was a deck going across the back of the building, which offered water views. If you needed 2 or 3 rooms and chose this location, the 3 deck/balconies all adjoin, which would be fun. The unit next to us was a 2 BR 1.5 bath unit. Breakfast was delivered to us at the time we specified and consisted of warm scones both days we stayed, hot carafe of coffee, boiled eggs, yogurt parfait, fresh fruit, orange juice. A very hearty start to the day. We would stay here again. Lobby was not accessible to guests and not sure if exercise room was open, as it wasn't mentioned. Thanks Glenmoor.…
We stayed in the hotel portion for 1 week. The room was very clean and we had ample hot water and pressure to shower. We are too busy each day to sit around so we didn't need to be oceanside. The continental breakfast was great and delivered right on time! And hot things were hot. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Centrally located along the coast worked out well.
Perfect location with stunning views of Penobscot Bay. Oceanfront cottage provided beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We stayed 6 nights in September 2021, breakfast served via a basket left on front porch. More than adequate to begin our day of hiking with Camden State Park close by and a nice drive to Acadia. Restaurants met our needs for seafood; something we miss living mid country and as luck would have it, the weather was perfect most days. The one rainy day was spent indoors visiting museums in Rockport. A vacation to remember, set at a beautiful location!
