I enjoyed my stay. Mom and I came to visit where she graduated and meet up of with friends she hadn’t seen in 30 years. It’s clean, well kept, the owner is updated as she can since she’s only been open during COVID. It’s lovely and cozy. The bathrooms are being redone and are fantastic. (There isn’t construction just stating she’s updated them) Valerie is outgoing and super responsive, she also cooks you breakfast and takes into consideration people’s diets. She is great! Love the place and love that she’s restoring a piece of history. You’ll enjoy your stay. Just make sure you read and look at the photos so you understand this is not a fancy hotel this is a cozy b & b that is history.

We had a wonderful time at Jeremiah Mason House, while visiting family in Cornish, Maine. The innkeeper, Valerie Kessler, was very helpful with our food difficulties and with luggage. The breakfasts were very good! I loved the decor in our room. There is a wonderful viewpoint just outside of town on the way to Cornish (route 5). You can see mountains, Lake Sukokis, and even Mount Washington on a clear day. We also visited Long Pond, where you can swim and walk a bit.

The place is charming. Rustic vibe, kind of like staying at your grandma's house with strangers. (Some people do like that). There are sensitive power issues (i.e. can't run the hair dryer and the fan at the same time. We were on the 3rd fl, in the middle of summer, and it was HOT. The small window a/c unit takes a while so text in advance and the owner will turn it on before you get there, but it struggled to keep up with very hot outdoor temps. The toilet in room 8 is no wider than a airplane seat. Seriously, both my elbows touched the wall. Just saying, if you're on the larger size... Bring earplugs to block the noise of traffic. The coffee wasn't great - if you enjoy coffee, there's a good coffee shop in the area. There was no liquid soap in the (community) shower, which made me wonder if it was being cleaned daily. Had to use the hand soap from the sink. It would have been nice if the mirror was closer to the hair dryer so you can see what you're doing. I know this seems critical, but I don't mean it to be. It's a lovely place, if you are into this kind of setting. Regardless, we probably will be back - but will book in advance and get a room that's not on the third floor in the middle of summer. Breakfasts were delicious, by the way.

Greetings Diane- thank you so much for your review. As you know, I purchased this right before COVID shut me down for (almost) my entire season, so I am slowly getting to a lot of the changes as I go..Yes, in a 164 year old Brick Building the Converted closets to bathrooms are small for anyone who may be on the "larger side" as you say. But on the positive side, you HAD a half bath vs having to travel to the end of the hall for all of it. Summer books up quickly (especially for the second floor or now Studio apartment) so usually last-minute travelers get to the third floor. I Fully apologize for the soap being empty, that was either an oversight from me, the owner, or as a full house, folks tend to use a lot of soap (6 people on the third floor). Had you mentioned it I would have gladly run up there and refilled it. Onto the Coffee. Again, had you mentioned to me that you were not happy, I could have adjusted it to your liking? I am not opposed to tweaking things if I can when I have a full house. Coffee is something I could easily have adjusted for you. I do hope you come again. And perhaps try one of the rooms on the second floor ( rooms 1 - 4) or the studio apt in the back of the house which has its own kitchen.

On a trip up the coast of Maine, a friend and I stopped by the Jeremiah Mason House B&B for two days. Valerie, our hostess, was friendly and welcoming, glad to offer recommendations for nearby hiking and dining, and quick to make us feel at home. Breakfast both mornings was delicious and satisfying, hearty and not-too-sweet blueberry bread pudding with watermelon and locally-sourced sausage one morning and, to accommodate our early morning departure the last day, breakfast bagel sandwiches with eggs from her own chickens. The room was small but comfortable, furnished with a pocket half bathroom with a full bathroom down the hall, shared with guests on the floor. We had no timing issues sharing the bathroom and appreciated individually-locked bedroom doors and a passcode to the entire building for security. Overall, we had a great time in this historic home and appreciated Valerie's warmth and hospitality.

The Jeremiah Mason House B & B....I have so many great things to say about the B&B and our stay. First of all, Valerie is awesome! She is great at communicating and messaged me before the stay to find out preferred check in time and dietary needs for breakfast. The house is wonderful! Great architecture, solid, richly decorated rooms, unique. Valerie gave us great info about the house and you can tell she really cares about the house...and her guests. Breakfast was awesome! I had an assignment due for online school and the living room was the perfect place to sit, relax, and get it done. Valerie is very accommodating. We are SO glad we stayed here. Comfortable beds and quiet room added to the joy of staying here.

We were visiting friends and stayed the weekend in this cute spacious studio on the backside of the Main building. Super quiet and a nice deck to sit on in the good weather. The kitchen has all the cooking amenities you may need. Valerie is great to communicate with. Definitely consider this BNB if you are staying in the area !

This was a great place to stay on our recent visit to Maine!! Was a good location for visiting Portland, Kennebunkport and Cornish, a small town only a few minutes away. The host Valerie was amazing, very accommodating to her guests needs. She was very knowledgeable of the area and gave us great suggestions of things to do on our visit. The breakfast was delicious and great portions of food. We enjoyed our conversations with Valerie and the other guests staying with us. The house was very clean, Bed sheets and towels clean and smelled amazing. The Host, Valerie, took pride in keeping a clean, warm and inviting Bed and Breakfast!! I would highly recommend and will stay here again when visiting the area.

Very clean and charming historic inn. Great place to reset from bustling of the city life. Valerie was extremely helpful and personable---she was informative about the nearby areas and gave great tips for activities/hiking nearby. Small town charm and Valerie's breakfast was healthy and energizing for the long days. We can't thank her enough. Her patience, commitment and passion shines through. Don't hesitate--book. The Jeremiah Mason's details and historic ceilings in Limerick was a great laidback stay. Haven't slept like this in years.
