Wind down for your evening by relaxing in our elegant parlor. Challenge a friend to a favorite game in our well-stocked game room. At the Inn at the Agora, you will discover an infusion of modern luxury in historical surroundings. Enjoy complementary Wifi under the 12-foot ceilings of a 19th century mansion. Relax in the courtyard beside the former St. Patrick's Church, Maine's tallest structure. Walk to a show at the Public Theatre or the Franco Center and pop in for dinner at one of our community's excellent local restaurants. Each guest room provides WIFI, cable TV, quality bath amenities, hair dryer, alarm clock, writing desk, ample lighting, comfortable rocking chair, plush bathrobes and slippers, and evening turn down service. Each room also provides a complimentary breakfast voucher redeemable at one of two local restaurants, both in walking distance. Located in the heart of Lewiston, Maine, the Inn at the Agora overlooks historic Kennedy Park, where Presidential nominee John Kennedy spoke on November 7, 1960. At nearly 8,000 square feet of living space, this quintessential masterpiece was built in the mid-1800s by Captain Albert Kelsey and later purchased by the Roman Catholic Church as the rectory to St. Patrick's Church. The Inn at the Agora provides travelers a central location in Maine's second largest metropolitan area coupled with luxury amenities and all the comforts of home.

Although brief, I had a wonderful stay at the Agora. Billie was more than accommodating. I got some good rest before work. I will definitely make this my go-to for future stays in the area. (I didn't have much cash on me to leave housekeeping a tip, and I felt awful, but I'll make up for it next time). Thank you Billie!

You have no idea how much your review perked me up in the middle of this pandemic. We are glad that we were able to give a healthcare worker the ability to rest, relax and get safely back to work. We need you folks everyday and especially right now. As for the tip... sadly my housekeepers aren’t working right now as I clean the very light customer load we presently have so that we can try to stay healthy... they will definitely appreciate the bump when life starts to be normal again. Next time you stay with us, hopefully you and Wess can get some music time in together as he’s always up to a fun jam session regardless of abilities.

We showed up without a reservation and little notice and Billie immediately welcomed us. The personal touches throughout the inn were well thought out. The parlor and game room were well stocked as was the snack/coffee pantry. We had planned on staying only one night but decided to stay for 2!

Thank you for the nice review. We put a lot of thought in to “what would we need/want if we were guests?” to help make our guests feel comfortable, so it is always nice when guests appreciate our efforts. I enjoyed meeting you both and hope the rest of your trip was a great success.

What a special place! Converted from a rectory and before that a mansion, the inn is steeped in history that the owner is happy to share and it has many beautiful architectural details for anyone that appreciates historic buildings. Rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable, with great details like robes, slippers, and chocolates on your pillow. Complimentary water, coffee, and snacks, as well as sherry and port if you would like a nightcap. Easy walking distance to restaurants and breweries (Baxter and Bear Bones) even in the winter. Convenient off street parking and beautiful location overlooking the park. Helpful information left in the room for exploring the area. Common areas with games and books. Unique and beautiful event space next door.
