Our 1-night stay at the Water Street Inn in Kittery was too short! Room 1 was simply lovely. The bed, the lighting, the wallpaper? Every detail appeared to have been given a lot of thought. And it's not easy to make the visuals and the practical features work, but they did. The place was also perfectly located, a short distance to Wallingford Square and its restaurants and to downtown Portsmouth. Again, the only downside is that we did not stay longer. If you are considering a visit to this part of the world, don't stress the comparisons and save yourself the trouble. A stay at the Water Street Inn will more than complement your visit.

It it not a B&B. We never met our host or anyone else for that matter. We checked into the Inn with a code sent to my cell phone, and checked into a room with a code Our room was very small. The location is good because you could walk across the bridge to Portsmouth, NH.

My husband and I were extremely impressed by The Water Street Inn. The accommodations were top notch. The Inn is beautifully appointed and had one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in! We loved being able to sit on the front porch both with a drink in the evening and our coffee in the morning. We stayed in room 1 which is on the first floor. I would recommend that room if it’s available because of it’s convenient access. The Inn is located across from the water and over the (walkable) bridge to downtown Portsmouth. Lil’s was a wonderful spot for breakfast and is just down the road. We will absolutely return for another visit the next time we are passing through town!!

We just spent two nights at the Water Street Inn and it was fantastic. The room was spotless, the bed and pillows were amazing. This is a quaint little inn that is within walking distance of multiple restaurants and shops. You can walk to Wallingford Square and Portsmouth New Hampshire. I truly can't say enough good things about this Inn.
