We enjoyed our room in the Inn. Lisa is working hard and has an excellent property. We enjoyed the farm fresh eggs for breakfast. The coffee was absolutely delicious, best I ever had. We had travelled early and all day, so we fell into bed at 8:30 PM local time and slept til morning. The bed was comfortable, although the... More

Had a wonderful two night stay just last week- I didn't want to leave ! A great 'feels like home' establishment! The room was great- very spacious! The homemade breakfasts were top notch YUMMY! And the relaxed atmosphere was delightful! Lisa's recommendations for eateries in town were spot on and her staff were very friendly- we will return in the... More

My husband and I were on a genealogy "fact finding" trip to MA, ME and NH recently and stayed with Lisa Standish. It is a wonderful, comfortable place to stay. Lisa is so knowledgeable about the area and history. She offered to take us to try to find the Beedy Cemetery on a back road. Although we had to give... More

It was so much fun to be involved in your hunt for the Beedy Cemetery. It isn't often that I am afforded the opportunity to go on a field trip with my guests so our time was special. I wish you the very best and hope that California gets lots of rain soon. More

We thoroughly enjoyed the house and grounds. Our host was an interesting and learned lady with an extensive knowledge of the area and it's history. We enjoyed conversation at breakfast with her and the other two guest couples. Homemade breakfast was excellent. Our room was very comfortable with great views. The evening we spent in the sitting room by the... More

My wife and I stayed at the Mountain Village B&B this August while I was hiking a section of the Appalachian Trail in Maine. Lisa was most helpful, informing us of the best ways to get to the trail and nearby places for my wife to eat/shop while I was hiking. Our room was very comfortable, large enough for my... More

We stayed for two nights whilst visiting family in Kingfield. Lisa is welcoming but unobtrusive, leaving her number for contact in case of need or for more information. The bedrooms are decorated tastefully with period wallpaper and matching painted beds. There's ample closet and drawer space and lovely to have books to browse in the bedrooms and the guest lounge... I should have paid attention to my instincts. When I booked this B&B on Hotels.com the confirmation said that “You won’t be charged until you check in or check out of the hotel” however, within a few days my credit card was charged by the Mountain Village Farm B&B. I should have cancelled at that time but I checked the... More

There is no "smell". I don't know why a person does this kind of thing. To me, it is just a flat out a vicious attack intended to cause damage and not helpful to anyone. Audrey took a review from last July written by Danny S when in fact there was an offensive smell in one part of the house... More

Secondly, you were given exactly the room you asked for because Room #5 IS the Brackley Farm Room. Thirdly, the breakfast menu has SIX choices including farm fresh eggs, home made granola, french toast of blueberry cornmeal... More

Lisa's B&B is a true gem in Maine. When my friend and I decided to go on a roadtrip along the eastcoast of the US we envisioned lovely little towns along the way, and some B&Bs we'll never forget. On our way home to Nova Scotia from a family funeral in Ontario my wife and were looking forward to some much needed R&R in a quiet, quaint rural setting.
