Charming old hotel with so much character, but well-maintained - love the new bed linens! Great location, great prices, great restaurant right across the street, and the opportunity to perhaps see a ghost - can't beat it if you are up this way! No tv's...More
Good Points: A lovely period hotel with lots of history (read their website - it's quite funny, in a good way). Stayed for 1 night: friendly welcome from Dawn, room clean and comfortable with some period furniture/fittings, plenty of parking, free wifi ok, no food...More
This was a nice charming historical hotel. Cute inside & outside. The room was nice. Everything was clean. The bathroom looked brand new. Good value. No breakfast available, needed to go elsewhere for breakfast, but there was good coffee in the lobby in the morning...More

This is an old hotel that shows it's age, both good and bad. Wonderful woodwork details, large comfortable lobby, wide stairway and antiques scattered around the hallways. It's age shows in the bathrooms, carpeting, some of the furniture and a lack of amenities. We've stayed there to ski Sugarloaf, only when other lodging is unavailable. It's okay for a few nights. The prices reflect that.
If you're looking for plush luxury accommodations for cheapo prices, you're going to be constantly disappointed.
