We stayed here on a roadtrip through Maine. The resort is perfectly located just outside the bustling tourist area of Kennebunkport, and offers a free shuttle for their guests. The staff at this hotel are incredibly friendly and accommodating, and genuinely seem to care about their guests' experience. Our room was spacious, clean and well-appointed. We appreciated the welcome treats and card in our room. The breakfast buffet was excellent and offered a variety of fresh and local items to please everyone.

We have stayed at the Nonantum the same weekend in June for the last 5 years. I am absolutely speechless for the same 5 star service we receive year after year. The area is some of the most stunning and the rooms are impeccable. We are already reserved again next year in ‘our’ room and count down the days to next June. Thank you for making our anniversary weekend amazing- year after year. 💜

Hello Leah: Happy Anniversary! We love being part of your family traditions. Southern Maine really is one of the most beautiful places on earth and despite living here my entire life, (OK so maybe I am just a little biased) I still find new places to explore and visit every year. We look forward to welcoming you back again next year! Kind Regards, Jean

My husband and I were married at the Nonantum eleven years ago. We now visit Kennebunkport every summer with our children. This year we tried the kids club. We dropped them off at the activities tent where they were served a kids dinner and activities for two hours. We never get babysitters and can probably count on one hand the times we have had dinner alone without children. We were able to drop them off and have dinner at the pool with no hesitation. We could see them while we dined. The counselors were fantastic. The Nonantum is so comfortable and lovely. My kids did not want to leave. Neither did we!

We love when our former brides and grooms return with their families! So sweet! Camp Nonantum is the perfect combination of doing fun things with your kiddos, and allowing mom and dad just a moment to gather their thoughts and reconnect! Many of our families love feeding the children from our nightly kids buffet and then having the kiddos run around with their many new friends while the parents enjoy an adult evening. We even have many families who have met through the years at kids club and plan their vacations to coincide each year. Our outstanding Activities Team knows they did a great job when no one (kids or adults!) wants to leave😊 Please come back and see us again soon! Jean Ginn Marvin, Innkeeper

My sister and I stayed at the Nonantum Resort in June 2022. The staff was friendly and the resort is quite charming! We stayed in a two bedroom queen suite with adjoining bathroom. The rooms were clean and updated and we felt like we were staying at a small bed and breakfast. The Nonantum Resort is just minutes away from the beach, great walking trails, and downtown Kennebunkport! I would choose to stay here again and again!

We would love to welcome you back again and again! Our ideal location allows for easy walks (or shuttle rides) downtown, lazy beach walks, and plenty of fun things to do for all ages. Many of our guests love to Bed and Breakfast vibe of the inn (they say it is how they envision a trip to Maine!) while others prefer our more modern looking Portside Lodge. The good news is that we offer both styles of rooms so there is literally something for everyone. Please come back and see us again soon! Jean Ginn Marvin, Innkeeper

We visited this resort with our two kids (ages 6 and 8) in mid-late June. Stayed on the second floor of Portside in a room with a view of the water. Booked directly through the resort so breakfast was included. I read reviews before we left so we came prepared with a sound machine- yes we heard the people above us walking around but with the sound machine we brought, and using the earplugs provided, it didn’t disturb our sleep. The room was comfortable and clean although with so much to do on property, we really were only in the room to sleep. We stayed during the week and no weddings were scheduled during our time there. I can not say enough positive things about the staff and scheduled activities at Camp Nonantum. Both my kids had so much fun doing basically every scheduled activity with the staff at Camp Nonantum including knot tying, crabbing, arts & crafts, Bingo, etc. My kids absolutely loved the drop-off kids club in the evening. They had so much fun playing games with the staff and other kids. The nights were themed and included a treasure hunt. I appreciate the flexibility of allowing us to choose whether we want dinner included in the evening kids club. Special shout-out to Colby who, while managing a million tasks, always had time to answer questions and help us. We really appreciated how kind the camp staff was to our children and how fun they made the experience. Happy children equals happy parents! The resort set up is absolutely perfect for families as kids are able to run between the pool, activities and lawn games all day. The outdoor pool is heated to a temperature that makes it comfortable to swim even in 60 degree weather. There is live music every night at the pool and the restaurant/bar is attached. We enjoyed the convenience of renting kayaks right on the property, as well as the ease of scheduling activities online. The nightly campfire with Colby playing guitar was a great time for the whole family. All the staff we interacted with at the resort were friendly and helpful. We did a day trip to Goose Rocks Beach which, while not the closest beach, is absolutely beautiful and has tide pools. Take the free hotel shuttle to avoid the $25/day parking fee by the beach. I highly recommend this resort to families looking for an easy, fun, relaxing vacation in a beautiful setting.

Thank you so much for your very kind review! Camp Nonantum is just getting in to full swing again after two years of Covid and the challenges associated! The Co-Directors Colby and Esther are long term employees who have an amazing ability to juggle a million balls in the air at once, while giving the impression they were just kind of hanging around hoping someone will come by with a question! They are both remarkable human beings and they have a fantastic team of co-workers who make sure that every kid at The Nonantum have the time of their lives! As you very correctly point out, if the kids are having fun, so are the parents. The beaches are totally lovely and our shuttles run there on a complimentary basis every hour. We have a special Day at the Beach package available that people just love. You can rent virtually anything that you need for a day at the beach! Chairs, towels, boogie boards, sand toys, wagons even lunch! It just doesn't get any easier to enjoy a vacation with kids! Hope to see you again soon! Jean Ginn Marvin, Innkeeper

We stayed here for a wedding. The rooms were clean and updated. Every employee that we encountered was extremely kind, smiling, professional and helpful. Lovely location and view. The functional hall was very nice & food delicious at the wedding. A full and tasty breakfast in the dining room was included and in a hurry, a to go breakfast, was also available. This location is on the inlet from the ocean with river views, a short walk to the beach or to the center area with quaint shops and restaurants/pubs. Fun weekend away. Definitely would recommend.

Our weddings are extra special as the views are amazing, the food phenomenal, the staff first rate and breakfast the next day the perfect ending to a perfect weekend! I have always wanted to visit Maine and Kennebunkport specifically, and this hotel did not let us down. With flight delays, we were 10 hours late arriving stressed an tired, but greeted warmly and with open arms by Sammy. Breakfast was amazing with new additions each day. We went on from our 2 night stay in Kennebunkport for a few more nights mid coast, but kept wishing we were back here. We ate lobster rolls all over Maine, but loved the one here at the hotel best of all, comparing them all to the hotel. We are from Texas and loved that we could see the Bush compound. We spent an afternoon playing yard games with an amazing view. Amazing memories!

Hello Tracey: We are so delighted that you enjoyed your trip to Kennebunkport. Sami is a wonderful Ambassador for the Nonantum and she makes sure our late arrivals can let go of some of the tension they are feeling so a middle of the night arrival turns in to “so glad we are here” before you even snuggle in to our cozy sheets, pillows and comforters. Our lobster rolls are a guest favorite. Our Pastry Chef Amanda bakes the roll part of our lobsters every day in house and the lobsters are cooked the same day they are caught meaning everything is fresh and delicious leading to amazing lobster rolls! (Your choice of warm local melted butter or house made lemon aoli!) We have many visitors from Texas and we love sharing the former Summer White House with them. The Former President and First Lady are often seen around town and as a community are proud to host them at various events all summer long. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts! This resort is classy. Our room had a great view of the inlet. Lot's of lawn chairs to enjoy the evenings. And oh, did I mention the breakfast. Very yummy. The location is perfect as well. The beds are very comfortable. The cocktails at both the outside and inside bars were lovely.

What a nice review! Our new cocktail menus are a big hit! We have just introduced special happy hour prices Monday through Thursday from 3-5. We have $6 drinks as well as $6 snacks. Perfect after a day of exploring in beautiful Kennebunkport! Our breakfasts, which are complimentary as long as you make your reservation directly with us, are incredibly popular. Every day is different and delicious. I swear those Breakfast Chefs must spend their day off studying and creating breakfast treats. Every day is a new adventure! Please come back and see us again soon! Thanks for writing! Jean Ginn Marvin, Innkeeper

Wonderful stay during mid week. Comfortable beds and pillows, tile floors and renovated bathroom! Loved the breakfast and ate lunch and dinner too because the food was great! We went on the Pineapple and the seas were great! Loved walking each evening to see the ocean. The only problem is if you want to sleep in you can hear the upstairs footsteps. They provide earplugs and white noise machine.

Hi Marta: It is great to hear that you enjoyed our beds and pillows. All were replaced at the beginning of the season and we are hearing excellent reports! Going our on the Pineapple Ketch directly from our dock is one of my very favorite activities at the resort. It just doesn’t get any more relaxing than listening to the waves lap the boat while the wind moves the sails. Depending on your neighbors, noise can be an issue so that is why each room has earplugs and a sound machine. I personally travels with a sound machine of my own and many of our guests have told me they also find the use of a sound machine the easiest way to ensure a great nights sleep when away from home! This family run resort is a perfect example of how hospitality is done right! I’ve worked in the industry and this is one of the first large resort operations that has everything figured out so that everyone’s experience will be rememberable for all the right reasons. The updated room was decorated comfortably like you want a Oceanside retreat and the view of the river was worth every penny. The amazing buffet breakfast was not your typical buffet, there were delicious homemade offerings that changed daily and there were plenty of servers to take care of us, a rarity in these post pandemic times. We used to sail in the area and wanted to be as close to the river as possible, this resort has a very expansive riverfront lawn with Adirondack chairs set in small groupings so you can really enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There are shops and restaurants within an easy walk too. We dined at Latitudes several times and we’re impressed by the service and food quality. We are people that enjoy a good cocktail & a friendly mixologist, Matt was our guy! He made us feel welcome and within a couple cocktails we were chatting like old friends. We will definitely be back!

What a lovely review! Thank you so much! As a worker in hospitality you understand how complicated our industry is so I value your thoughts even more! Our breakfast is the perfect way to start each day and we staff members also get breakfast every morning and I will admit staying away from all the yummy house made treats is extremely challenging! Our breakfast team has something new and different each day and it is so tempting just to test them out. Matt B from the bar staff is indeed a friendly mixologist as well as an excellent conversationalist. The summer of 2020 when we were mostly closed down due to Covid, we ran with a skeleton crew. Matt was tasked with getting me up to speed on our POS system (Point of Sale). I can attest that he is also a very patient technology teacher! We can’t wait to welcome you back!
