I chose the Nonantum Resort for a multigenerational trip to Kennebunkport and all ages were pleased with this choice. What initially attracted me to this resort was its location close to town and its activities for children. It is a nice walk into Kennebunkport but Nonantum also has shuttle service to town and to the beach which we did use several times. From the very beginning until checkout, the staff was very welcoming and helpful. The reservation staff helped reserve multiple rooms for us and offered some suggestions regarding popular activities. We all had lovely rooms on the third floor of the Portside building. The rooms were spacious and while the bathrooms were not that large, they had a great shower and there were small shelves to store some items. The resort staff were all very friendly and welcoming and the staff at Camp Nonantum was great with the kids. The food at the Nonantum was excellent. Breakfast is included with your room if you book directly with the hotel and it is well worth it. Nonantum has a pastry chef on staff who creates wonderful breakfast pastries. There were also wonderful egg dishes that changed daily in addition to the scrambled eggs that were offered every day. There were also pancakes, waffles & crepes depending on the day. We were there for a week, and it was a treat to get up every morning to see what was being offered that day. We also ate at Nonantum's Latitudes Restaurant and found it to be as good as the restaurants that we frequented in town. My sons ate lobster rolls at a variety of places and they deemed the one at Latitudes was the best. Nonantum Resort was a perfect fit for our family. Highly recommended.…
We have stayed at the Nonantum the same weekend in June for the last 5 years. I am absolutely speechless for the same 5 star service we receive year after year. The area is some of the most stunning and the rooms are impeccable. We are already reserved again next year in ‘our’ room and count down the days to next June. Thank you for making our anniversary weekend amazing- year after year. 💜
Second time at this resort...it was extremely clean and our room had 2 windows plus a slider out to a nice patio area. There were little extras that I was impressed with-there were 2 sets of earplugs left on the nightstands, a nightlight in bathroom, the included breakfast was delicious, all employees we interacted with were gracious and accomodating.
The service here from welcome check-in, to breakfast, overall dining, pool, room was incredible. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, it really made an impact. We walked into town with a few recommendations from the staff but also used the shuttle a few times (which was on-point, on-time and super helpful). The lunch on site was great and we loved the pool. Our room was very nice and super clean. We couldn't have been happier. P.s. you're a walk to the famed Mabel's--where you must try one of their lobster dishes (but make a reservation, it's a very small unique and wonderful place to be). We didn't try the boat cruises that were offered on site but will next time! Also 5 minutes from some great public golf courses.
First time visiting Kennebunkport and so very happy with my decision to choose Nonantum Resort! The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The staff are all friendly and helpful, the room was clean, quiet and the bed was just what i had hoped for. The best was the views. Everything from the entrance of this resort to the grounds to looking at the boats on the water was so relaxing and enjoyable. Having a drink on the balcony at Latitudes while watching the sun go down was an amazing ending of our day. A family oriented place for both young and old. I am hoping to return again and would love to bring my granddaughters. I have already promoted it to my brothers and friends and would highly recommend it to anyone who is planning on visiting. I wish we would have stayed longer. It was truly the highlight of our week in Maine.…
Beautiful, grand old hotel that gives one the feeling of opulence. We were there for a wedding which was also handled by the Nonantum and it was absolutely an amazing experience. The food was excellent and the service exemplary. I would definitely return.
We stayed here last week and aside from the great location, delicious included breakfast and beautiful hotel, I was so impressed with their customer service. Halfway into our stay, our toddler got sick and we had to return home. Ashley at the front desk was so kind and unexpectedly reimbursed us for the remainder of our trip. We were so appreciative and will definitely stay here again!
Has a pool and other things for the whole family to do. Two restaurants on site and an expansive green area for games, etc. Bike riding, boating nearby and many shops and restaurants near by. Friendly staff and clean accommodations.
A great location at the side of the estuary with lawns running down to the water. Modern room, very clean with all usual amenities. Good range of sports including canoeing, swimming at nearby beaches and bicycles available. Sailing in a schooner or ketch is available nearby at extra cost. Swimming pool with bar on site. Breakfast is a bit canteen like but ok.
We visited Nonantum in July for a wedding and the entire weekend was great thanks to the staff. From when we arrived at the Wells train station, we weren’t able to get a car service to bring us to the hotel. So we called the resort and they kindly send Jean, the in keeper to come pick us up 20 min out of the way. Once she picked us up w/ welcome arms we realized we left a bag on the Amtrak. Despite our best efforts to find this bag(which wasn’t going so well) Jean somehow got in touch with the train and went out of her way again to go back to the train station late that evening to pick up the bag. It was one of the kindest gestures we had encountered and could not thank her enough! The entire hotel staff was extremely accommodating and kind over the weekend. From the people who checked us in, to the cleaning service to the shuttle driver. The Hotel was very clean and the views of the water were beautiful. It was a quick walk into town with a ton of cute shops and restaurants to see. We will definitely be back and staying at the Nonatnum again thanks to Jean and the rest of the staff!…
