We recently stayed at Nonantum Resort for two nights during a tour of southern Maine. Our stay was beyond expectations from the moment we opened the door to our room and saw the spectacular view. The resort was spotless, great location, and the staff was there to meet any need we had. We were lucky enough to secure dinner reservations for an evening in one of there gazebo tents. Not only was the ambiance beyond wonderful, the food was so good! I had the scallops and my significant other had the salmon. When we had to move on to our next stop neither of us wanted to leave. I hope to be able to return!
We have never stayed in the main building, because we enjoy the Portside building so much and have stayed here twice now. The property is absolutely beautiful. Fully enjoy being right on the water and being able to see all of the boats up close. We so enjoy the pool during the warmer months and the breakfasts are outstanding and included in the price of the room. The staff is extremely friendly. This is our number one place to stay in the Kennebunkport area.
The staff at the Nonantum Resort was absolutely incredible throughout our 5 night stay. Everyone greeted you with a smile (even though you couldn't see it due to the, wearing masks). They fulfilled our every request. The breakfast (which is included if you book directly through the resort), was phenomenal. It gave us a reason to wake up early every day. The room was clean, had a great view, and we're centrally located within walking distance of both town and the ocean. We constantly had staff ask us how we were feeling, asking us if we felt safe, etc. The next time we visit the area, we will be sure to return to the Nonantum Resort.
Perfect resort. Wish I could give more than five stars. Stunning grounds and lovely staff. Owners thought through precautions to Covid-19 meticulously. Arrived early, was given a sweet goody bag with warm cookies and took a picturesquely paddle on one of the many resort kayaks available for guests. Enjoyed lunch on their stunning grounds in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the river and lighthouse. Perfect lunch spot with outdoor dining and bar. Make a reservation early for a fire pit with s'mores or dinner with a heated lamp in the lighted huts by the river. Breakfast is part of the stay and was everything you’d ever want - scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, fresh pastry and fresh fruit. Walking distance to downtown and to the beach. Rooms are lovely and spacious and have great views. Louise at the front desk is a gem and makes it all come together for her guests. Perfect. Just perfect. …
Our first stay in a hotel since the pandemic began six months ago and the Nonantum did an excellent job dealing with all the new protocols. Room was spacious, light and airy with a comfortable bed and nice chairs for relaxing. The grounds of the resort are lovely with many comfy seating options. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices and the service and safety challenges were well handled.
