Very nice. Easy walk into town but in a quiet beautiful block. Lovely outside chairs and love seats for reading or takeout. Nice self service breakfast of granola with lots of add ins, a bakery item and fruit. Coffee machines tricky and bitter coffee but plenty of coffee in town. No real staff presence and wish there was a bar. Also we only got 1 key, they did not have another, which made it hard to coordinate with my partner who was out on 40-50 bike rides. Def need to give people more than 1 key.

Property's Favorite Review
Beautiful B&B in historic buildings, but with modern features. Perfectly located in a quiet part of town that is walking distance to main commercial area. Well worth the 5 stars. Also appreciated their environmental use of refillable bath soap/shampoo bottles rather than small plastic bottles. Breakfast was also delicious.

Spent one night in the Jeffries property in Room 1. A beautiful room with a well-appointed bathroom. The room was a bit noisy in the morning as it was immediately inside the front door. They offer a self service breakfast that was simple and satisfying. Special call out to Donna who took a moment to chat about the four separate properties. We will return !

The staff here was so nice, my mom and i came up to explore kennabunk and they accommodated us when we had a small issue. Paula at the front desk was so lovely to my mom that it made an impression and she’s been talking about it all day. Thanks so much for everything, from fitting us in to taking care of our bags!!

Staff was extremely helpful sharing place to go. They had bikes, chairs and towels for the beach and best of all walking distance from everything so you didn’t have to fight the parking lots!! Rooms were really charming and large garden areas with a lot of seating. We will definitely be going back!!

We spent three nights at a suite in the Jefferds Carriage House. This is a house on the other side of the main hotel, and the suite is basically one of two rooms they have built on top of the staff’s garage, so nothing special. Walls are paper thin so noisy neighbours were a bit of a pain on our first night. The properties are beautiful, location is great. There was a mini fridge in the room, and amenities available in both the main house and Jefferds house. However you could only get water in the main buildings, there were no bottles or jugs or pitchers available (I asked 3 times and one time I was told that if they give pitchers to guests then they would have to refill the water dispensers all the time!), so we couldn’t take enough water for 3 people to our room, other than small plastic cups. We were in an outer building so it wasn’t really convenient to keep coming back and forth. We also made the booking over the phone to ensure they could accommodate a small bed for our child. On arrival the bed was not ready, nor it could be made ready until the next day. And we only got it because the lovely ladies cleaning the room prepared it for us when we asked them directly. At $900+ a night, value for money was not there.…

From walking in the door until leaving, the staff at Kennebunkport Captains Collection did an awesome job. They continued to reach out during our visit to ensure that we had a wonderful experience. Our room was beautiful. The detailing on the fireplace (working by the way) along with the air conditioning (which can be unusual in Maine) was a great combination. The bed lines were of high quality and the bed incredibly comfortable. One of the key features of this property in addition to the wonderful staff, was the interior design of every room. So unique and tasteful. This house was built over 150 years ago and yet everything was updated and exquisite. Thanks Captains Collection for a great visit. We'll be back!

The rooms are beautiful and comfortable and each building has lots of spaces for enjoying breakfast or time with family. I appreciated the availability of a kitchen with snacks, coffee, tea cold water. And my room was spacious enough to practice yoga comfortably! Not all rooms are this spacious so ask when you book.

We have stayed at this hotel several times before and since the current ownership. For the first time we stayed 9 nights this summer in the William Jefferds' suite .With a full kitchen, living-dinning room, bedroom and en-suite bath, it was perfect for a long stay.The staff was very friendly and always helpful and the location between town and the beach was perfect.With cable and multiple streaming services available the TV was confusing at first, but the staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in getting it set it up for us.

The Captains Collection is a suite of 3 or so buildings transformed into delightful rooms that are comfortable and welcoming. The staff is first rate and the location is a 5 minute walk to Kennebunkport's main street. Yes, the building were in was old, but updated and comfortable. This is not camping! a great place for couples. a Continental breakfast with housemade pastries and chocolate chip cookies. What is not to like!
