#1 of 23 B&Bs / Inns in Kennebunkport
Travelers' Choice
Our coastal Maine Bed and Breakfast is one of Kennebunkport's finest independent, owner operated, historic Inns. We offer understated, casual luxury and modern comforts coupled with traditional New England charm. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood next to the 15th fairway of the Cape Arundel Golf Club, we are only a short stroll from bustling Dock Square's shops, restaurants and art galleries. Our five guest rooms are well appointed with queen size beds and private bathrooms. Many have fireplaces (seasonal) and there are spa tubs in select rooms. For that extra special accommodation, our one bedroom suite is equipped with a king sized bed, two person walk in shower, oversize spa tub, fireplace, refrigerator and in-room coffee maker. A three course breakfast is prepared fresh from scratch each morning using local and organic ingredients. Coffee and hot drinks are available 24 hours a day in our dining room . 1802 House is an ideal destination for relaxation and as a base to explore everything the south coast of Maine has to offer.

It has been a few years since I have traveled to southern Maine. While K'bunkport was crowded and the weather not great one day, we managed to keep ourselves busy. Innkeepers were welcoming, room was clean and common areas comfortable.

Thank you for your review, we are happy you chose to return to us here in Southern Maine, especially during such a wonderful time like Prelude. Kennebunkport is wonderful during Christmas and Prelude is a fun time to visit. We hope your travels bring you back this way again soon.

Property's Favorite Review
1802 House was the highlight of our visit to Kennebunkport. Everything about it is immaculate, from the elegantly decorated rooms to the well-kept grounds. It offers peaceful charm while being in close proximity to town with plenty to do. The York room where we spent 3 nights was beautiful and its private shower was absolutely fantastic. We particularly relished the 3-course gourmet breakfast menu created daily by Carl and served with fresh-made coffee and juice. Every meal we had (freshly baked goods, yogurt parfaits, blueberry pancakes, smoked salmon tart etc.) was delicious and very nicely presented and our specific dietary needs were kept in mind. Eileen was always there to answer our questions and give us useful tips for our day trips on top of the excellent guide we received with the reservation. We enjoyed 1802 House so much that we decided to stay an extra night in the Camden room which was also spotless and decorated with taste. Surely deserves all those 5-star reviews. Thank you Carl and Eileen for your hospitality, we will surely be back!

The 1802 House was the best stay I celebrate Christmas Prelude in Kennebunkport. It us walking distant to town. They serve a 3 course breakfast at the civilized time 9am. It was amazing. Our stay was wonderful.

We just spent a couple of days at this Inn for my birthday. It really is a special place. The hosts Carl and Eileen are terrific. Friendly and so accommodating. The decor is beautiful and the inn was immaculate. We stayed in the Camden room and I loved the design and decor. The bed was really comfortable. It makes a big difference to stay in a family owned Inn, where you are made to feel special as opposed to a corporate own hotel or Inn. The breakfasts were delicious. Another plus was the ability to walk into town in 10 minutes. We may make this an annual birthday getaway. I really loved it.

Thank you for your lovely comments Madalyn, it was such a pleasure to have you both here. Thank you for taking a few minutes to give us your very kind review. One of the reasons we wanted to own a smaller Inn was so that we could give our personal attention to the hospitality we provide. It's always nice to hear from our guests how much they appreciate it. We look forward to seeing you and Kermit again next year.

This was our first time at this B&B and is was absolutely fabulous! Both Eileen and Carl were gracious, personable and such a fun couple. Also, Carl made a spectacular breakfast each morning, so we definitely got spoiled. We've been talking about moving to Maine and this trip helped cinch the deal! Jackie R.

Thank you for your review Jackie, we are happy you enjoyed your trip to Maine so much. We love living here and recommend it to everyone. Sorry we missed you on your last day, we didn't realize your flight was so early, hope it didn't spoil Dave's birthday, we hope he enjoyed his cake. Good luck with getting the relocation, if we can help along the way let us know.
