We spent 3 nights at the 1802 House and it was so relaxing and comfortable. We stayed in the Sebago Suite. This suite is so beautiful, comfortable and very spacious. We really enjoyed the private deck. We couldn't find the clicker to turn on the gas fireplace but other than that is was perfect. The new owner Julianna was a delight. She went out of her way to make sure we had a delicious breakfast each morning as she dealt with our dietary restrictions. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and the short walk into town. We would highly recommend the 1802 House Bed and Breakfast.
This was a great place for a two day stop over as we traveled on a driving vacation. Rooms were great. Location convenient to downtown shopping area - and had a two great dinners at nearby restaurants. Breakfast was very tasty. Highly recommend.
When you visit Kennebunkport I highly recommend staying at the 1802 House Bed and Breakfast. Carl and Eileen are such welcoming people from beginning to end. We stayed in the Camden Room and it was perfect. We were celebrating our 35th anniversary and wanted to stay somewhere quiet, quaint and romantic. 1802 did not disappoint. Fresh breakfast and coffee and juice every morning was delicious and the inn is so close to town that you can walk. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed a fire one night as well. So when you visit you won't go wrong by choosing to stay at the 1802 house. It was absolutely wonderful!
The owners could not have been more delightful and helpful and the breakfast each morning, the two mornings we were there, was a delicious offering of homemade scones or muffins, yogurt with fruit and an egg dish or Belgian waffle. If you’re looking for quiet getaway about 1 1/2 miles from town, in a historic Inn this is a great choice. One drawback was our room smelled a little musty. We got used to after being in it for a little while but it was quite noticeable each time we entered.
This B&B is only 1/2 mile from Kennebunkport dock square area so we walked into town every day which beats the traffic. The breakfasts that Carl makes each morning are 3 course fine dining with Eileen serving and making sure everyone is happy. We really enjoyed staying here for 3 nights The room is well air conditioned and the bathroom has been updated. They are not doing daily room cleaning due to COVID but that seems to happen everywhere lately. Would definitely recommend this B&B if you're in this area. Nice outside chairs to sit in as well early in the morning while drinking coffee and a nice firepit for the evenings (although it was rainy every day so we didn't get to enjoy this feature)
Our two-day stay at the 1802 House Bed and Breakfast was simply perfect. Eileen and Carl were the perfect hosts to this immaculate get away. The attention to detail in the main part of the home and in our room was most impressive. Rarely have we experienced a more beautifully appointed accommodation. On both mornings, the breakfast was amazing. Carl and Eileen make a perfect team and the 1802 House has our highest recommendation to other travelers.!
The owners were so kind. Excellent breakfast experience at 9am. Very convenient location, plenty of parking. Quiet even with other guests there. One could walk to town in less than 10 minutes. The house is on a quiet and cute street off of the main road that one would take to travel to Kennebunk or Portland. The house had the traditional B & B feel with a very updated bathroom. Nice. I understand they are open most of the year and do not close for off season.
My husband & I spent 2 nights of our recent trip here & it was lovely. The room was very nice, clean, & comfortable. The grounds were beautiful & quiet - we recommend relaxing in the Adirondack chairs! The breakfasts were delicious & filled us up until dinner. The owners were accommodating & enjoyable to chat with. We enjoyed being able to walk into town from the B & B. It was a great place to stay.
My wife and I just returned from a week's stay at the 1802 House. We have stayed at many B&B's over the years, all around the country. This was the best! Eileen and Carl were outstanding innkeepers who were well assisted by Annie, their dog. Carl's homemade breakfasts were different every day and all were excellent. Eileen was lots of fun to talk with and very responsive to all guest requests. We stayed in the Arundel room on the first floor. It was well done and large enough to handle all of our needs. The 10-15 minute walk into town was easy on paved streets and roads. This was important as parking/traffic in Kennebunkport can be a pain. In town many locals provided very positive comments when we told folks where we were staying. Without a doubt next time we come to Maine we will be staying with Eileen and Carl. Tom and Janis M…
My wife and I came for our 10th anniversary and had an amazing time! The inn keepers are incredibly nice and the breakfasts are delicious! We stayed in the Sebago suite and enjoyed the super comfortable king sized bed (we could have slept for weeks!) the double shower head was awesome and the jacuzzi tub was very romantic. The bed and breakfast is also close to town; it only took about 5-10 minutes to walk into downtown kennebunk port.
