Absolutely lovely place to stay. The quaint waterfront town of Kennybunkport is reflected in this charming enclave of cottages. Cottages are impeccably decorated and well-appointed with no detail overlooked. Amenities including rowboats, canoes, kayaks, and bicycles on-site with local partnerships for additional rentals in town. Good walk to downtown but nicely positioned for tranquil indoor and outdoor lounging and peace and quiet. Hospitality was five-star - they met our every need with smiles, delivering breakfast and afternoon snacks directly to the cottage, providing a tour of the property upon arrival, and sending us off with a very sweet gift bag. Ideal place to stay when visiting Kennybunkport, but book early as this place is quite popular (as routinely featured in travel magazines).

Clean and neat, but way below expectations. A typical Maine, summertime rip-off. They charge a resort fee when their is no resort. The cottage is so small that two people can't get in the bathroom at the same time, unless one is standing in the shower. There is NO room in the bedroom to even open up a carry-on size suitcase, and the living area so small I had to open the suitcase on top of the cook top! Fool me once with their website, but never again. At $550 ++ a night, which ended up at $650 a night, we would never stay there again. Management was cordial and nice, just not a good product offering.

thank you for taking the time to share your experience, I am sorry it was not what you were hoping for. We try very hard to make sure our guest understand these are truly tiny cottages, on the website we give you the square footage/ as well as pictures...I can appreciate you felt it was small as it is. This property is certainly not for everybody. We are a very quaint throw back property that offers lush gardens/ watercrafts to enjoy the cove and the river/ bikes to cruise to towns and explore the area, a lovely firepit to enjoy in the evenings. We are not flashy or glitzy. We offer a social wine and cheese a few times a week as well for those that would like to be social. July and August in the Kennebunk's is prime season...We hope you enjoyed your time in Maine.

We spent a lovely two nights in the Harbor Cottage. It was very pretty and well air-conditioned (so important in the increasingly hot summers), and beyond thoughtful. Truly: The Cottages anticipate every need of guests to the area. There are complimentary beach chairs, towels, beach bags and umbrellas, which made visits to my favorite Goose Rocks and Scarborough beaches so much easier. The complimentary bikes are comfortable cruisers that can be taken to town easily (driving to the downtown is ill-advised b/c it's so congested during peak months), and you can park them anywhere, they don't require locks. The breakfasts were such a wonderful daily surprise, and one time we came home to fresh-baked cookies. The living room is so cozy that one night we chose not to eat out at the (rather touristy) restaurants and just dine in with our own food and wine. The Harbor Cottage probably has the most private outdoor area because it is at the end of the path and while the loungers on the lawn are technically for communal use, we did not find anybody except geese using them. Sensitive, restless sleepers like myself might have a little trouble with the bed. It's a queen, which I sleep in at home, but it's soft and sort of bouncy/responsive to tossing and turning. One night my husband went to sleep on the couch, and the following night I did, simply to not disturb the other. But it was not uncomfortable. I'm just a bad sleeper and prefer firmer mattresses. Overall, it was a blissful stay, and the perfect compromise between a hotel and a big rental house, great for a couple. I would definitely stay here again and maybe opt for a King room.

We loved Cottages at Cabot Cove. Peg and Emily were wonderful hostesses. At check-in, she walks you around the property to show you the bikes, kayaks, fire pit, etc and then to your room. Loved that. It made us feel special and welcomed. We stayed in the Anchorage room which is apart of the office building. It isn't its own little cottage. That was totally fine. We had our own private little patio in the back with a view of the cove thru the trees. (That area could use a little weeding though.) Loved that they delivered a little breakfast each morning to your door. We sat outside on our patio and had breakfast. The Anchorage room is cozy and fairly tight but the bathroom and closet are a fine size. We used the beach cruiser bikes one day and biked to Cape Porpoise. And also used the kayaks. One thing to note is that the cove is affected by the tide. At low tide, the water is all gone from the cove. It's doesn't smell fishy though. They tell you the safe times to kayak to make sure you are able to get back to the Inn before no water.

My husband and I stayed at the Cottages at Cabot Cove to celebrate our anniversary and were completed charmed. It was our first time visiting Kennebunkport and we really didn’t have many expectations or plans other than to relax. We can’t say enough about how lovely the trip was and how special the cottages are. The whole property feels like it was taken from the pages of a storybook. The customer service is outstanding and the attention to detail is very apparent. We stayed in the Sunset cottage because we wanted a king size bed, a bit more space in the bedroom, and cottage that was tucked back a bit for privacy, and it did not disappoint!! I loved how all the amenities were self-service: you could use the fire pit, games, bikes, and boats whenever you wanted, no locks on anything. The property is right down the street from town- close enough to walk but far enough away to feel like you’re secluded. The sunsets over the cove, the crunch of the clam shell drive, the creaky screen doors, and the swaying willows all make for a very cozy experience. We can’t wait to return. Already planning our next visit!

These small cottages are furnished with an upscale decor and with comfort in mind. And what was apparent from the start was personal and friendly attention provided by the staff thru Texting. In addition there were daily breakfasts and afternoon snacks that were welcome and delicious. The location is close to the town of Kennebunkport but quiet and serene. We will definitely return.

We chose the Cottages because we loved the idea of spaciousness in a still-covid-wary era. For that reason we also chose a cottage on the end (Harbor View) and it did not disappoint. Although the bedroom and bath are small, we appreciated having a kitchenette, and the living room was spacious and very airy and open, with the French doors leading to the stone patio and Adirondack chairs..The entire property seems very quiet. So even a cottage in the middle would probably have been equally tranquil.

We spent 3 nights at the Cottages at Cabot Cove in early-mid October, and really enjoyed our stay. Highlights: • All check-in arrangements, details, and logistics were handled via text with the front desk. Made things very easy, low-stress, and organic. Also felt very COVID-friendly in that we didn't have to interact with anyone, go to the main office, etc. • Great location. Very close to dock square, and accessible to ways out of town for day trips to Portland, etc. • Nice little delight perks, like free breakfast each day (which was really good) and a snack each afternoon (fresh chocolate cookies, bags of kettle corn). Just a nice touch. • Beautiful fire pit/ bocce court/ cornhole court right in the middle of the circle of cottages. A nice place to unwind after a day of activities. • Well-stocked kitchen area - had all the plates, wine glasses, utensils, bottle openers, etc. we needed for takeout, etc. • Informative packet of things to do in Kennebukport and surrounding areas, from hikes to beaches to apple picking. Very informative for first-time visitors like ourselves. • Smart TV equipped with cable, but also all the streaming apps we could have wanted. Just needed to log in and entertainment was right there for us. Lowlights: *I'm hesitant to even call these lowlights, they are just things to be aware of if you plan on booking. • Our cabin was very small. I'd venture to guess maybe 400-500 sq feet? It was a good size for us and I don't have any complaints, but if you want some room to sprawl out or have anything more than 2 people, this may not be the place for you. • Speaking of the small cabin, this is just an observation (and maybe a personal pet peeve more than anything...), but the fact that there were 10-12 enormous decorative throw pillows in the unit was just not sensible, ha. Most of the empty floor space wound up being occupied by pillows that weren't in use. Made an already tight space feel unnecessarily tighter. • Maybe a little bit pricey, but given it was a holiday weekend and resort/ lodging prices are through the roof now anyway, it wasn't offensively high or anything. Overall, this place was excellent. We had a great stay, it served its purpose of being a home base in between all our activities and day trips, and provided good space and amenities to unwind. We even had an infant with us and she did great there too.

Hi There thank you for taking the time to share you experience here. Glad you were able to enjoy the property and it location is truly coinvent yet tranquil. Yes the cottages are tiny ( as in tiny house) we cater to couples only so as you state a couple typically is going to be comfortable. Yes we are into our throw pillows here, but putting them places is indeed challenging. Glad you enjoyed our breakfast bag, we try to be creative and include a well rounded start to the day.

My husband and I just returned to New Jersey after a wonderful 5 day stay in The Trellis at the Cottages at Cabot Cove in lovely Kennebunkport Maine. We’ve never stayed in a cottage before and weren’t sure what to expect, well we were very happy when we stepped inside and saw how a little house could hold every amenity one would need to be comfortable. There was a fully equipped little kitchen including a dishwasher and garbage disposal. Surprising amount of storage space and 2 flat screen TVs with every possible channel, each morning a lovely continental breakfast (actual food and not store bought donuts or dry danishes) was left at your door. A snack was left in the afternoon as if by elves! Housekeeping was exceptional and the ladies made sure you were always well stocked with your soaps, towels etc. you had your choice of in-house cleaning or leaving your used towels in bags left outside. Heidi checked us in and couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming. The biggest surprise awaited us on the day we left, a bag was on our car containing water, snacks and a beautiful print of a cottage on the lake to remember our stay! This location is only a 10 minute walk into the center of town and we took full advantage! This is our second visit to Kennebunkport and I’m already missing it! Many many thanks to everyone at Cottages at Cabot Cove!
