No elevator and they did NOT tell us about 3rd floor walk up for Sr Citizens when they forced us from their sister facility with an elevator to this facility.. Had they, we would have refused their forcing us from the place we had booked to there. And the room was like for a monk in a monastery. No dresser. No actual closet. No table. No fridge. No clock. Basically a bed, tv, night tables and 2 chairs. Struggle to get the key to work in the lock. About zero decorations to the room (2 very small pictures on the wall). No heat in bathroom so that was always cold. And bathroom under the eves so watch your head at the sink if you are taller than 4' 6". You get a better room at a Motel 6 or Travel Lodge for $80. Corporate owned so they come off big time as not caring. We complained multiple times and they never got back to us as they claimed they would. Did give us a small discount of 20% eventually but not worth 1/4 of what we paid. Some rooms there are nice, but most rooms are on upper floors and there is no elevator. A fact they were happy to withhold from us and respond to us after the fact Too Bad, nothing else available.

Property's Favorite Review
We had dined at their restaurant (Stripers) several times in the past. When we decided to stay there Stephanie made the reservation and check in process very pleasant and personable. All staff and I mean all, were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed their happy hour sitting outside in the adirondack chairs. This was a prelude to a great meal in the restaurant. Would have stayed a third night but our room was taken. Great service + great food+ great view +great room equals a fabulous time.

We stayed for Christmas Prelude, our first winter trip. The location is great. About a mile walk to downtown. Could be a little closer but gave us a chance to work off all the food we ate. The hotel is old, and certainly the bathrooms could use a refresh. The bathroom itself has a weird drain in the floor and is tiny. We had a parking lot water view and it was nice. I had a great facial. The spa is nothing fancy but the aesthetician was fabulous (Farrah). The ladies at reception were all extremely friendly. Above average.

We had a 3 night stay in early October and I set my expectations to be realistic as I knew this place was a little on the weathered side. It could use a HUGE update in terms of the room itself. Our spa water view king room was spacious and had a view of the parking lot and some water, not what I would call a 'water view' in terms of the type of room we booked. Our bathroom was probably the sorest spot of the room. They have a penny-wise drain right smack in the middle of the floor (from the movie IT) and the bathroom just needs to be gutted. The old carpet and wallpaper in the room itself just needs to go. We were in the spa building and didn't find it to be noisy. The check in area is small-ish but we were always greeted by a friendly face. We opted out of the pitiful breakfast each morning because we need protein first thing. If you like bagels and pastries, you'll love the breakfast! If you don't mind a walk, it was not far from the main strip. I do think I will pick a place a little closer next time. My husband fished with a guide right outside of our hotel, so that worked out perfectly.

I was pleasantly surprised with the friendly attention we received from the staff. It was so comfortable in the room but also I appreciated the consistent preparation throughout the stay. The location was perfect for nature, sightseeing and browsing.
